INSIDE DOME VIDEO!!!! I’ve waited 25 years living nearby wishing and hoping for this day!!! I appreciate you accomplishing what no other YT Creator could do! I am sure this video will explode virally in Houston! 🙏🏼
Oh, that’s so cool. I’ve driven by that place so many times and wondered what it looked like on the inside. It’s had abandoned for a very, very long time. Nice to see some urban explorers. Are checking it out and documenting the property now.
Thanks a lot for that! Indeed, that was my third attempt over 1 1/2 years to get inside just out of curiousity. Shame that never finished it but apparently plans are in the works for the property.
It was supposed to be the centerpiece of a Buddhist sect, the leader was arrested in China and they lost funding…. That’s the thumbnail of it….. there are articles about it online
Agreed. I was not sure what the state of the interior would be, so was really cool to find the blueprints/plans. It looked like it would have been quite a structure.
I live right around the corner fromt this place. It's always been one of those places that just appeared one day and nobody knew what it was. I've literally never seen inside of it and it's sitting about a mile away from home. This is so cool. The theory is that an undocumented person came to build this temple but was reported shortly after the build was complete.
That is partially true. They never completed the green card process apparently so when they left the country for a funeral they were denied re-entry to the US and since then the project was just shut down. I always had a fascination with this place so was amazing to finally just see what there was. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
I checked this place out 2-3 times over 1 1/2 years before getting inside. What I had heard, within 3-4 months of filming it, they had resealed the entry point that had "opened" and were actually working on it again to restore/continue construction.
Oh wow this was behind my old house I lived in 21years ago and always wondered what it was. I called it the Gold Golf Ball. I thought it might be something religious or a golf outfitter, or golf country club.
Well we went in July 2021, so I am sure it has been resealed by now as the popularity of it increased once it was found to finally be accessible. The "entry" was pretty easy to find so if it isn't now, again probably has been resealed.
@@ExploringWithBenandSam i swung by the other day looks like they’re working construction on it, there’s a few JLG’s/manlifts in the area of it, looks like they’re working on it now, wish i visited inside way before
I heard the same from someone I know who apparently went to check it out finally. It seems it was "open" for a relatively short period before it got resealed. Think I noted in the video that was 3rd time or so going there over about a 2 year period.
Hard to believe the flooring and some of those tables have not been taken out of there or should I say stolen. Also I noticed I was unsubscribed from your page so I re-subscribed.

Appreciate that. That was indeed my third attempt and finally it had been "opened". So was satisfying to finally see it!
I dunno. Looks pretty ugly to me. If this was in my neighborhood, I'd be glad to see it gone.

Finally some backstory on this place. I live around the corner from it and always wondered how long it’s been there. Good stuff
It is a bit of a mystery still, but some clarity at least on the intentions.

Awesome vid man, thanks for putting this up!

That is so beautiful. I wish i lived closer to it. Be awesome for a place of Unity
Interesting Property! Incredible architecture!
Wow, please help this Buddhist Community
I have lived in the Alief area my whole life and never knew what this place was until recently. I always wanted to see the inside of it. Thanks!!
No problem. Had been on my 'bucket list' for couple years so was thrilled to finally get the opportunity to get inside to see what there was.
@@ExploringWithBenandSam It must have been fun to explore this place. I wish it would be repurposed and the interior completed.

hi just wondering, is this building still up?
It’s amazing that the owner or property manager allowed you to walk around in there.
Can’t believe that flooring and some of those tables have not been stolen out of there
Thanks for sharing great video very interesting

I really like the exterior shots of this place.
Hard to believe that flooring And some of those nice tables have not been stolen.
How you manage to get in ?cause I’m planning on going there

@@ExploringWithBenandSam alright
So, the owner of the building is going to reconstruct it?For some commercial purposes?@@ExploringWithBenandSam

WOW! I pass it from time to time but thought it was a functional building.
I have heard it is being worked on again. But don't know if that is true or not.
I seen it before is next to my old house 🏡
That’s crazy it’s been abandoned for as long as I know , it’s in alief up the street from my house
Yea it has been quite some time. Longer than I had first thought honestly.
@@ExploringWithBenandSam I’ve always wanted to go in there man , thanks for the great video !!

What a waste of money but whoever got the contract to build it ate well lol

I'm so fucking jelly right meow! Sick video Ben!!
I thought it was a mosque back in the old days😂😂
Can anybody just walk inside tho?
That is up to the individuals I guess. And is it accessible but reasonable means.
@@ExploringWithBenandSam so there no one to tell you to leave the property
Well it is like going to any property.. never know what the situation will be that day. Has been awhile since we were there.
