Isn't my pooch a good dog? :P but also, one of the best parts of summer is that there's always an excuse for FIREWORKS! Find out when the next ones are happening near you and plan to go snap some pics.
Hi Lucy, one other tip I usually use when shooting on tripod with a remote control, is "double-click" with mirror removing. I mean, first click on the remote : mirror removing, second click : taking the picture. I don't know whether every camera allows this setting. Mine does, and it prevents any move-blur from happenning. Better than the delay tip I think. Oh, and yes, such a good dog
Hi lucy, First of all, wishinhg you all the best for the upcoming year 2020. Used your proposed settings (iso100, 8sec, f16) last night for some fireworks photos and it worked out great for me. thanks a lot! Saw your video a while back, when you posted it, but kept it in mind for a night like this.
It looks so cool and is super fun! This was probably about 1-3 feet away from the lens. I saw one spark almost hit my lens and then I got scared haha! Also, I just creeped your channel and you're starting out STRONG GIRL! You got this, keep going and making videos. Oh and I think the sparkler thing in the foreground would be great for wedding pictures :)
@@TheLucyMartin You're right! It is perfect for weddings! I am going to play with it! I just always have to have a shutter speed of 160 to capture the movement of the exit! Might try a monopod and see if I can get the shutter down a little lower. Capture the movement and see how the light trail looks!
Lucy, loved your video (as always). Have you ever used the technique of having the shutter ob "Bulb" but with a sheet of black cardboard in front of the lens and moving it out of the way when you want to capture the lights of one or more fireworks?

Thanks Lucy, you are great as always. Your videos are so informative but relaxing at the same time.
Thanks Josh, I try to keep a chill vibe going. I think it makes it easy to learn and follow along. Glad you like it ☺️

I've never thought of using a sparkler light trail as foreground! Sweet idea! How far away from the lens were you holding it?
