    The' Noir 29 was my gateway to Le Labo. I was sick if paying money for junk that I never connected with and the insult to injury is that you get to smell like everyone else. The' Noir 29 was not only alluring, the performance was OUTSTANDING. Berg 22 is my summer signature scent for all the reasons your mentioned but it turns cozy, as if the PM light gets switched on. I have gotten good performance from all Le Labo frags. First house I've fallen head over heals with.

    Yes all genders can wear whatever the want..however the best reviewers will say if a scent is feminine leaning or masculine leaning. It is extremely informative and descriptive. It is helpful for those of us that blind buy. Lucky Scent which is a top perfume reseller in the U.S has a scale showing the degrees a perfume is feminine or masculine or straight down the middle. I don't care for masculine scents on me so it so helpful when a reviewer mentions if masculine or feminine.
    Ah ha! You did save feminine. Thanks!

    Hi Eva, my personal favorites on my chemistry is Another 13 & Santal 33. Initially I wasn’t too fond of them. But over time, and once the fragrance develops in the bottle over time, it gets better. I get plenty of compliments because I also wear my fragrances with confidence. My wife isnt fond of them on her skin, but she likes them on me. Im open minded when it comes to fragrances, depending on my mood and of course season. Great review. Love your accent and voice. Very very soothing.

  • @Nubianette

    Thé Noir is my favorite. I was surprised because it fine, sniffing the card, but it's much more interesting on my skin. The dry down gets even better. I think it's the bite of the bay that is a very pleasing contrast to my chemistry that makes all scents go warm and sweet on me. Hilarious, I wore my sample to Copenhagen last May, and I didn't like it while I was in Copenhagen. It's always interesting how the place changes my scent choices.

    • @Nubianette
      @Nubianette 7 лет назад

      It's a reminder to bring more green, floral scents when I go back to Copenhagen this May. I'm very sensitive to aldehydes and Le Labo is very heavy. I enjoy it more in my dirty city near San Francisco. Copenhagen and Stockholm were a bit too fresh and clean. Especially, Stockholm in the spring.

    Eva, I'm not sure if you know but, Le Labo offers a package of all their fragrances in 1.5ml sample sizes. The offer comes with a 50ml or a 100ml (empty) bottle, so once you choose make up your mind you go back to the store and fill the bottle with whichever fragrance stole your heart. It's $195 (not sure in GBP) for the package with all fragrances + 50ml, I can't remember how much it is for the 100ml deal. Anyway, Le Labo is my favorite fragrance house, too! And it's always a little perk to know they're also cruelty free. Hope this helps! And if you already knew, oh well! Hahah big hug your way!

    I love The Noir!! and the Paris exclusive Vanille 44 is lovely. I'm not a fan of Rose 31 as a bottled fragrance, but there is something about the Rose 31 soap that is magical, but at $45 a bar I have to make mine last as long as possible. I also like both the Santals, but only have those as samples, but as you say, a little goes a long way. I like to spray the home version on my bed clothes. But Fleur d'orangerie: No, just, no! Talk about old lady smell. BTW: if people don't realize, once a year the Le Labo website lets you buy samples of the city exclusives, but perhaps that's only in the US, I'm not certain.

    I need to try Santale 33 very soon, you've piqued my interest. Have you tried their Labdanum scent? I tried it at Liberty's London and was impressed though Labdanum is one if my favourite fragrance notes. I tried Bergamot 22 too and its performance was very poor on me. If u r into niche market Santal 33 will look very normal and too common to u. There are thousands of similar and much better in other brands and houses which are better and same price. I think price is not justified for Le Labo. Check By Kilian, Amouage and etc

    I don't see a lot of people who like it, but I really enjoy Matcha 26. I have samples of The Noir, Rose and Lys on the way...so we will see how Matcha compares. So far, I'm super impressed with this line, even Santal 33, which I'm not a fan of (the leather seemed to play out more on my skin.) This brand has made me fall in love with perfume, again. • @toobalkain
    @toobalkain 7 лет назад +1

    Does Santal smell like dog’s urine or is it more of a human’s note? Cat’s pee would be the worst. Jump off the Le Labo, Creed and other such like hypetrain with the possible exception of some Tom Fords and check out Comme des Garçons, Malle, high end Guerlain and Dior fragrances, perhaps Zegna too. For $3/ml or more a fragrance, whether niche or designer, has to not only smell great but perform great both in terms of longevity and sillage. Not that some Comme des Garçons don’t perform poorly, they do, Wonderwood’s sillage is next to non-existent but overall these brands deliver on all levels.

    Gender can be associated with fragrances... sweeter smells like vanilla are more soft and fem, while more rugged smells are more masculine because of their association with biology. It's simply your freedom of choice to smell somewhere on that gendered spectrum...
