  • Dermapen microneedling offers world class, online training courses, focused on microneedling safety - get your Dermapen certification today at needlelogics.com/
Dermapen microneedling has provided this helpful 16 minute video to help you understand the features of the device and specifically the administering of the Dermapen microneedling treatment.
Please refer to your protocol document for instruction on depth and speed for different areas of the face and spot treatments. Please refer to the protocols as well for the step by step treatment procedures prior to the actual treatment of the skin.
In this video you will learn how to correctly administer the treatment using careful technique, tempo and speed of delivery and helpful tips to give you the practitioner and your patient the best treatment possible. Take notes on the use of a gauze pad to help pull the skin tight as you treat the skin with the device. This will improve the delivery of the needle tip and reduce pain and discomfort for your patient. Another helpful point of interest is the use of plenty of HA BOOST to add sufficient glide to the movement of the needle tip. The Dermapen trainer in this video provides plenty of her personal opinions and treatment specifications. Dermapen endorses these specifications and suggests following these guidelines however each medical professional is free to exercise their prerogative to treat each patient independently as skin and other differences can present themselves on a case by case basis.
If you have additional questions please refer to your local sales representative for assistance. Our toll free number is open as well from 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday 707.733.6862 or info@dermapen.com.

As a medical easthetician, I can confidently say that this is one of the best demonstrations of a professional micro-needling treatment that I've seen thus far. It's scary how many uneducated and unqualified people are performing this medical-grade treatment and misinforming people.

I was taught not to move up and down as you scratch the skin as we can see in your video. You just do touch the skin,, lift and touch the skin again with the pen and so on lifting and touching. Also around eyes (Crawfeet), you need to use the NANO needle.

I just took this class and in your instructional video and class shows you should cover your instrument with a protective cover and also you teach to lift up the pen after each pass and to NEVER hold it onto the skin. You go back and forth and your settings are so high. I am really confused. This video was made 2013 so maybe you have improved over time and WASHING THE SKIN WITH ALCOHOL? I was taught to never ever cleanse with alcohol? super confusing.

Marialu Azul don’t you oily serum or any kind of oils cause for sure you don’t want the oil to go into your skin the best choice is vitamin C or hyluronc acid serum

Marialu Azul is stick with the Hyaluronic Acid for glide.
Vitamin C is acidic and can be irritating to the skin.
I usually recommend using an EFG Serum (epidermal serum) post treatment (directly after treatment & Day 1 Post) as this will help promote healing. You can incorporate Vit C the following day and every day after.
Always before your sunblock though; as it adds a protective layer against feee radicals, etc.

Did it ruin your skin via UV exposure? Using retin-a will cause the skin to be more susceptible to UV damage. That is one reason that sunscreen use even indoors is so important when using retin-a.
