I grew up reading Essence! My mom had a subscription and i would take them and read the magazine. I would always see her picture and be so intrigued that a black woman was the owner and Editor! She’s definitely a pioneer and I’m happy to see her on the Sephora channel! I’m hoping there’s more stories like hers to come!
