- As India's gov official website states that Chinese tourist must be accompanied with a tour guide in a package tour to travel to Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland. So this made Manipur even more an interesting destination to me ! Imphal, Kanglasha Fort, Kangla Sha, Manipuri.

Manipuris adopted Hinduism and Indian culture during the 17 century when a Bengali Brahmin Priest named Shantidas Gosai converted the Manipuri king to Hinduism. They also adopted Bengali script and some elements of the Hindu caste system and intermarried with Bengali upper caste Hindus. Originally Manipur was was an independent kingdom and the meitei language and culture is closely related to DAI/Shan people from upper Burma and Yunan. Many Manipuris are now converting back to their original religion and replacing the Bengali script with the original meitei script.
Dai/Shan languages are Tai-Kadai, a different primary language family all together. Meiteilon is a Sino-Tibetan language like Mandarin or Cantonese or Burmese.
please don't blindly compare meeti with dai or shan,meetei are very different,there's nothing like meetei in the world,it's a unique group.
@@leviackerman8155 meitei is categorised as sino-Tibetan language, more specifically Tibeto-Burman language. But meitei is not a pure sino Tibetan or Tibeto burman language. There exists no pure sino Tibetan / Tibeto Burman language. Due to the proximity, cultural exchange and intermarriage with Dai/Shan people meitei have many words that are of Dai/Shan origin. Even Mandarin Chinese is full of words which are Dai-kadai
@@sjhassjh3941 Meiteis are not unique , they didn't came from nowhere and landed in Manipur. Meiteis are indeed sino Tibetans who over the centuries have mixed and absorved various other cultures and ethnicitcies like Dai/shan, Burmese and indo Aryan Bengalis.

In Manipur we Tangkhul triple facials appearance look like Chinese but we stay in hilly region. Next time we will love you to visit "Shirui festival" in Ukhrul and too see the beauty of nature 😊.

People from Mizoram know least Hindi, so you say you're from Mizoram so that they will easily believe you. Assam has the most fluent hindi speakers because of indian migrants.
Visit the Ukrhul district of Manipur next time, they aren't Hindu unlike Meitei of Imphal. You'll find more indigenous asian people in hills of Manipur.

Not all Meiteis are Hindus brother. Manipur consume more beef than Nagaland. Don't show your sick mentality here. You don't like us because of religion and politics. Similarly, we also don't like you. Even we considered you as uncivilized third class groups. I think you'll hurt what I'm spitting here. That's what you guys do everywhere, you defamed Meitei people everywhere.
Don't forget we Meitei are not Hindu. Only some sects follow Hinduism. But they're not vegetarian.
We Meitei follow Sanamahism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.
