  • Visiting Imphal's Ima Keithel (mother's market, later called 'women's market'), a market that can be traced back to the 16th century when Manipuri men were sent to remote regions as forced labor, women in the area started taking care of their families and selling the products in the improvised market. It is the largest market in Asia that is purely run by women.

豆瓣酱 is similar but it has other spices like chili and salt in it. On the other hand fermented soyabean in northeast India is made by packing boiled soybeans in a leaf without addition of salt and spices and left to ferment above the fireplace and consumed as it is or dried in the sun to use later. Most people make chutney out of it with salt, chili and other herbs or add it pork or other meats.
Chinese people have more variations of the fermented soyabeans.

We Chinese have thousands of years of war experience, and the world's armed forces today cannot find an opponent for the PLA, nor can the US military.
The PLA really does not want to fight the Indian army, and the Chinese government is waiting patiently for the Indian government to figure out the reason. Indian troops had to withdraw from Chinese territory, which they had occupied only in 1947.

Do you know Culture vs Religion difference. Religion is a small trait in Cultures. All the tribal commnunity of NE Cultures is on the verge of extinction. Isn't it ??? Their dialects language, Identity dress, tribal fabric pattern. Forget about Cultures, the economic centre of other NE is mostly run & taken by mainland India which is not happening in Manipur.
