If anyone tries to convince you that kpop fandom has gotten worse, laugh in their faces and remind them that there have been no cases of fandom fistfights, black oceans, poisoning people, or egging companies. Like, don't get me wrong, kpop fandom is still ridiculously toxic, but thank god that toxicity has moved from the physical to the digital. It feels more omnipresent now because digitally its more pervasive and visible, but at least we have less people getting physically injured 🤷
On the boring concerts thing: there's always this tug and pull between "dont be a boring crowd" and "don't be inconsiderate". People will see a crowd sitting down and call it boring, but a crowd that's standing is being inconsiderate to the people who can't stand, and can no longer see. A quiet crowd is boring, but people who scream "too loud" are being inconsiderate to the people around them who are trying to hear the music. We hate when people have their phones out all concert, but we love watching clips of the concerts we can't attend. It's exhausting. Idk man. But also, lol, I saw a comment saying that people are cringe for reaching out at idols when they're at the barricade. Can you imagine being an idol going up to the barricade, standing in front of all your most hard core fans, and they all just stay politely seated? I would go home. Thats so embarrassing. Sometimes people have the most hilariously bad opinions I have to laugh. Let people be excited and enjoy being fans lmao who cares if its "cringe" try having some joy in your heart.
i only got into kpop recently (2023, i heard stray kids and i loved the music) but i remember one reason i was very hesitant to look into it and a bit judgemental of fans was because of that parasocial relationship that seemed to be common. after getting into it i figured out that kpop is mostly marketted that way and it encourages those relationships, and i make sure i avoid falling into the delusion (? for lack of better word?) while still enjoying content and stuff
Ateez is always in my top for me. And Python is actually the first Got7 song I've loved this much! I definitely have had it on repeat daily. The chorus is so... idk, satisfying to my ears? I guess is the best way to describe it
2:27 here is my opinion on this early 4th gen it was getting better then when Covid hit like everything ever it has gotten so much worse. Don’t get me wrong the industry isn't ever going to get better and would never going to be a good working environment for these kids they sign but atleast it was improving a bit.
Ohh when it comes to concerts, my phone is on airplane mode and I am singing every single song. I am there for the music 😭😭 and I am dancing not to the choreography but yeah. Like I notice people in the flea bites are having the best time ever it’s actually a vibe. I will never stand, I like being able to sit down and enjoy the vibes 😂 have fun standing but it shall never be me. They need to have venues with booths so I can have that vip experience without standing 🙄🤨
I can never listen to NCT 127 again because of taeil. I loved and supported that man from the start. he was genuinely the best vocalist of that group and seemed to be a sweet dude and he turned out to be the worst kind of person. even if the group releases new music without him, I just can’t listen anymore. so traumatizing.
There doesn’t seem to be core identities anymore 😔 like 1, 2, 3 and some 4th gen groups, you could tell what sound the group had and their colour. We are losing recipes, a lot of groups are blending together and it’s so hard to stand out anymore. I will say BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, AESPA, ATEEZ, NCT and more have identities. (Just some examples) Like I get trends but it feels gimmicky and everyone is hoping on the bandwagon. We have no introductions, no group colours ☹️ There are a lot of groups that are defining themselves like POW and ONEPACT with the artistic direction but it is sad there are too many groups out now and the probability of all of them becoming famous is not high at all. Burnout happens because there is so much out and I don’t have time to be promoting anymore. It’s draining. But I digress, I think I went on a tangent 😭 but still we are losing recipes and it is hard to stand out from the crowd. There is something for everyone but everything is blending together now and trends seem to be what people are doing rather than finding an identity and experimenting with their craft.
Heavy on being around in prime one direction era but for me it was heavier on the jls fandom, it’s a character development frfr but wouldn’t recommend that parasocial shabang
I stopped listening to skz. Ngl I just didn't like a lot of their music after maxident album. Sure, there are some good songs after but they are few. I still vibe to ot8 older songs, but I just didn't vibe with them much less the fandom. Especially kingdom (2021) n the Genocide in 🇵🇸. Plus I'm a multi stan with Ateez as my ult and for some reason, in any fandom I was in, stays and blinks would always be on their ass like bruh.
i am nog trying to be disrespectful but i just never understood the thing about other races wearing durags or something like that yk? idrk whats wrong with it and i never got it. i am still young, i am a teenager and so hopefully i can learn more in the future, i am half black but i just never really understood why some black people get offended by that. also i really loved this video keep going :>

Deep Dive is such a good song!!! It speaks so much about mental health in a rhythm-riding song, selfish waltz is so good as well!
