I have one in .260 Remington. With a 5-20 Burris verocity scope. I traded the stock for an HS precision stock. I like it better.
Had it out last weekend. Put three shots inside a one inch Square @300 yards. With a Sierra 140 gr boat tail soft point.
Its my hunting rifle for the power lines, through the woods of the Ozarks.
Ya im gonna do the same with my pcr. Getting a new stock.
I like BC but should look into hs for sure.
Walked in this morning to my gun shop to pick up Remington 22 pump I had on lay away, the Clerk smiled at me and said look what I just got in and handed me this same rifle (6.5), looked at the tag (used), they were asking $849, I cursed him and made a payment on the “Pump” and put the 700 on lay away. Can never catch up 😜😝👍🏼❤️🇺🇸🤠
Try owning a shop lol... I want all of it for myself lmao... so many shiny things lol
Great rifle, especially with the 5R rifling. I have this one and the Magpul 700 in 6.5 Creedmoor, both with the 5R rifling. Hard to go back to standard barrels now.
Absolutely love mine and I shoot the same Barnes Match ammo. So accurate!
Thanks..I bought myself one.The trigger is not bad as a couple complained.I didnt need to adjust mine as of now.It comes in at 2.18 lbs.
I love mine buddy..
@@Baileysshooting Me too.I put an Athlon Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56 IR on mine and its a tack driver.Very accurate.
I suffer from the wind when filming my equipment too. Lovely bloody rifle!!
Shes a beast...
nice job Jon ... actually looking at 6.5 ... think you've convinced me mate
A very accurate and forgiving round.
Where can one find this rifle nowadays? I’m wanting to veto e here in the next 6 months but I can’t find any
Nice summary...but I will stick with my Harris bi pod...😊
Looks slick mate
It's an awesome tool buddy..
looks good, literally just up the rd from you, will pop down & have a look sometime.
Your always welcome buddy
Its hte pictiny rail 20 or 0 MOA? Thanks
20 moa standard on my rifle bud
@@Baileysshooting 👍 thanks mate i couldnt find that info in any review
Can you recommend a good scope?,thanks
I've moved to the Vortex Razor gen 2 on mine but to be fair a Hawke Sidewinder will do well at a moderate price.
@@Baileysshooting thank you for you help
700 PCR or Ruger Precision??? Help please! I can only have one or the other.
I hate to follow the crowd and thats why I went PCR.. And I honestly don't regret my decision... Simply brilliant tool for the job
I've got my PCR chambered in 6.5 creedmoor about a year ago and absolutely love it! Very smooth
what type of hunting is the 6.5 creedmoor good for?
The 6.5 Creedmoor as a bullet is capable of fox and deer in the uk with the correct bullet choice.. This rifle though isnt one you'll want to drag around however I do alot of static bait station work so it works perfectly off the bonnet or prone for me.
thanks because ive heard of people actually use them hunting elk and I was thinking a bit small for large game like that
@@TheRockmart i would say in the right hands and a good knowledge of your rifle shots on bigger game is possible, especially with some of the bullet designs available for 6.5cm.. and it's so stable ballistics wise..
Remington said after 2020 blue printing will no longer be needed.
This is quite an old video buddy
Does it come blueprinted from the factory? or is that something you did on your own?
I was told by the uk distributors that it's done at Remington and a group test sheet comes with the rifle.
@@Baileysshooting That would be cool if it is true, but for the price point that these are at, I am certain that the PCR is just a standard 5R barreled action in a chassis. I fine rifle, no doubt, but it'd be at least 2-3 times as much if it were blueprinted. I will inquire with with Remington for a final verdict. Thanks for responding! Great video!
@@Strelnikov10 What's the word?
@@Pifferfish What I heard from Remington was that it was "a 5R Barreled action in a PCR chassis". The service rep did not seem to know what a blueprinted action was. My buddy has since purchased one and I can confirm that it appears to be a standard factory action. Not quite as tight as a blueprinted action. It does come with a test fire target though, like most all 700's these days (it's done via computer, so there are no actual holes in the paper).
The thing is a damned tack driver though. We both use it for competition and it most certainly holds it's own with my custom 700. If I had to choose between paying $3k for a custom rifle and $1K for the PCR, I'd go PCR every time. In my opinion, it is the best factory rifle on the market at any price point. Remington knocked it out of the ballpark with this one. The only thing I would think to change would be the trigger and get some ACIS mags... but if you're getting started out, this thing is a one stop shop. You wont regret buying one.
@@Strelnikov10 happy to hear it. I have the 12" barrel version coming in the mail tomorrow, absolutely stoked for this.
Thought the fore end wasnt mloc .
Mlok or keymod compliant
@@Baileysshooting yes thought it was key mod, difficult to find equip to fit from what I've seen. Trying to choose between this , tikka tac a1 , howa 1500 onyx , or bergera , prob would have already bought tikka if it had lifetime warranty aswell.
@@richardharvey1637 Plenty available for key mod and mlok buddy even on amazon
I feel bad for you guys. That gun is $900 in the states
Where can I buy this for 900 dollars?!
@@bbconrad92 Out of stock and no .308
FAIL!
@@bloodyoil5660 you can find em 2nd hand in 6.5 for 900 pretty easy. Honestly if you can't drive a 7.62 similar to a 6.5 the round is not the problem
@@bbconrad92 Ah, can you clear up what you mean for "Drive a 7.62 similar to a 6.5"?
@@bloodyoil5660 I think its pretty obvious what it means...
