- Ladies and gentlemen, I am beside myself with joy and anticipation :oD It is my sincere pleasure to present the very first episode of HITRECORD ON TV! Watch the entire first episode here before it premieres on television.
Everything you're gonna see on this show was made collaboratively on our site -- hitRECord.org -- and the work of 426 Contributing Artists is featured in this particular episode. There's gonna be 8 episodes this season, each revolving around a different theme, like RE: Space, RE: The Other Side, and RE: Money. And since this is our first ever episode, I figured the theme of this one would be RE: The Number One. HITRECORD ON TV will be coming out on January 18th on a new cable channel called Pivot.
I'm deeply proud of this show, and I think you're realllllly gonna like it. Honestly, making this thing together with all the artists from around the world in our hitRECord community has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life so far. So, without any further ado, enjoy the show!

HITRECORD is astonishing. This idea is revolutionary. A truly beautiful way to take advantage of what our growing world has to offer through the internet. As a seventeen year old artist, actress, writer, and dreamer, I've never been so inspired by a website or any media at all, for that matter.
This man will uplift humanity.
A feel good variety show. The feels of the first short film. The voice actor was amazing.

Kind of feels like a future of the media: finally something that transcends the often separated platforms of tv and internet and personal technology. I haven't seen such an integration before, like, the media of the world citizen. TV made by everyone through internet, for the internet, expressed in hybrid forms. Cool. Thanks hitrecord!
I must say I really enjoyed this. I love the collaboration and its results. I think we are seeing art in a pure and modern form here. Talent comes from all over and transcends fame and celebrity. I would actually pay to see a movie made this way than most of the stuff Hollywood makes today. This is a brilliant and bold concept. Thank you Joe for pioneering this and all the contributors to this fantastic idea. I can't wait to see more of this. Bravo!

I wish that the country worked more like this, an open supportive community where everyone pulls together to make something beautiful, amazing, and meaningful. Something about the community and collaboration involved in HitRecord is really striking and I know that this is a fleeting moment when humanity is like the Pando forest.

I guess so :) But those videos are rarely worked on by 900 people before they're sent in! I guess what I meant to say is that it's odd that the audience was in place before it was even a show :)
It's becoming more and more common to get your audience to buy into a show before it's made as we've seen lots with kickstarter etc. but it could well be the first time it's actually been created by them!
I was always interested in sharing some of my writing, and seeing what people thought of it and if they wanted to add, or even work on it with me. maybe I should post it on hitrecord...

I admit I am just now discovering the HITRecord website and the TV show... I am ashamed I haven't found it before.
This is the most exciting, creative, exhilarating project I think I have ever seen in my life. This is what I would have killed to have in my twenties.
Joe is my new hero. I am stunned by the community, and more correctly: successful community he and his brother and company has created. It shouldn't work... If you asked ANYONE in Hollywood if you could do this they would laugh you out the studio gates. It can't be done. Joe has.
I am in awe. I am in awe.
I think he's a really talented guy. His work has been great, and _Don Jon_ was very well done. I'm looking forward to what he does next both behind and in front of the camera.
Oh, and the guy can even sing! He did this little song with Zooey Deschanel (it's on her RUclips channel) that was really catchy.

It will be on cable TV, this video is the first episode which they allowed on RUclips. HITRECORD On TV" Season 1 premieres on Jan. 18 on Pivot TV.
It was also made in such a way that it could even work in a pandemic!
I missed so much of what's happened since this collaboration production started and now it's great to see all of the people's hard work realized (and recognized) on TV! Incredible. Congrats Joe and all the artists and talents who made this possible! Look forward to the second season!
I don't usually comment on things. I felt I had to just tell you that the song "Your Not The Only One" made my heart swell and tears welled up from my eyes. It was beautiful with all its nuances in sound and tempo. Not to mention the variances in happy face and voices all melded together. I can only say THANK YOU, for sharing this wonderful piece of music and masterful piece of art!
This is such a great concept and is refreshingly original. It's very exciting to see something this innovative, that includes and depends on the talent of people that may have not been able to showcase their skills otherwise!

Wow Joseph-Gordon Levitt startet in letzter Zeit ja richtig durch. Sehr guter Schauspieler (zb Inception), dann auch noch sehr guter Regisseur (Don Jon) und jetzt macht er noch eine TV-Show mit einem genialen Konzept. Der hats echt drauf.
