@@pickyphysicsstudent201 well I meant to say magical mallet, but when I type on my phone I use speech to text so my phone must have got something wrong
I did my daily "watch duel" and someone played neo space exodia with cards like "NEXT", "Space Gift" and "Convert Contact". Looked pretty cool but it is probably bricky if you draw too many neo spacians.
I've played a version of this deck many years ago, before Chicken Game was a card, and I loved using Endymion and the Endymion Field spell. Along with drawing a ton from double Library, I would stack a ton of spell counters on the field spell, and then repeatedly special summon and blow up Endymion to get more Golden Bamboo Swords. Instead of the Magical Stone Excavation, I would run A Feather of the Phoenix, which requires less resources in hand.
Something to consider is that instead of running the 1 of pendulum guy that is an upstart and no extra deck cards, you could instead run link apple and two number 60 dugares. You miss out on one spell activation when you draw link apple instead of the pendulum, and if you're in a position desperate enough to ditch two active magical libraries to draw 2 then you're probably close to losing anyway, but using libraries as xyz material can make cursed swords hit the GY to search other bamboo spells, which combined with dugares, could achieve some very very clutch wins, which is more of an upside than one spell activation. This is a lot of theory for a literal single card in a meme deck but I still had to say it
While that is true, the way cards like pot of duality and card of demise work prevent you from activating apple (even if you wouldn't special summon because you have a non-link monster). And with card of denise being a +1 or even +2, I think it's better not playing apple.
I remember that I fought this guy once! It is very very susceptible to handtraps and going second tho, I won against him in the first two turns and wondered why he surrendered. @@UNDERTAKERULEZ102 had a play around with it earlier it pretty fun to play with 2 librarys out xD. Still loves to brick turn one tho but it is exodia after all
My boy, have you never heard of the Bamboo Exodia variant? I tried building one in the TCG for shits and giggles but having cards like upstart goblin and into the void limited made it pretty inconsistent. No shade, of course I just expected you to have been aware of this sorta strategy in Master Duel by now lmao
First time I fought an exodia deck, I negated(but not destroyed) a single library and it slowed my opponent down alot, I found it funny because I wasn't sure if they were still expecting to draw a card from library.
I have been duped again into wasting more SR and UR chips into a deck by this man. Keeps bricking very easily. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I really don't.
Yup unlike other exodia ftks if you don’t have library or a map there’s like a 1/3 chance for you to succeed. If you are going second it’s like a 2/6 chance because you can get lucky with bamboo cards .. I’m thinking of adding one day of peace for that slim chance that i get it while not having a library or map, That way I can live another turn without my opponent knowing I’m running exodia lol
ive been commenting on a similar version of the deck in a few steamers/youtubers comment sections last few days - which is to play 1 or 2 double summons as with library its totally busted. It was the way i used to run it. Maybe some players have seen them and thought thats actually not a bad idea and implemented it into their decks. I also ran mine with foolish and some hand destruction quick play to send the Exodia pieces dead cards to grave then recover them with factory
Ok guys. I played with this Deck and I got from Gold 5 to Gold 2. I could probably get a higher rank but I got bored now playin this. But this deck is really ROCK SOLID. Like I basically win more than half of my games. I could have been very lucky. BUT I also played with the other Exodia Decks that dzeef has posted and they never came close to the results this Exodia Deck delivered :)
lol u gotta be really lucky then xD i also tried this deck for fun but if i dont get ashed at a crucial card, my libraries seem to always be in my bottom 20 cards and when i am lucky enough to get a library my opponet has chalice :D
I just got to Platinum 5 with this. Idk, either I'm really lucky or this deck is really not that bad and you are just unlucky xd To be fair tho, Ash Blossom destroys any Exodia Deck. No matter what
Really cool but auto lose from so many hand traps ahahah! Of course playing exodia you always know that an ash used properly can end the game. But here veiler or imperm on library are automatic gg unless you have exactly double summon and another library. Also discarding exodia piece is really frightening when d.d. crow and ghost belle exist (even if i've never seen them in master duel). Then do not forget corner cases: ghost ogre on the library, and eeehm... droll :)
Droll is arguably the biggest threat behind Crow I'd say. Ash Blossom is a hard once per turn so it's certainly not a guarantee. Veiler and Imperm are definitely almost always ending your chances of winning.
Exodia is a meme deck, you're supposed to have fun by playing solitare and winning turn one, don't over think it too much, plus this deck is trying to be different from the more modern builds.
I literally played against this deck today! Lol. Of course when I viewed the deck profile afterward, (I won due to Droll & Lock) I didn’t have any idea what the guy was doing with it or how it worked. Now I know after watching this and seeing it in action on how it works, if I didn’t have Droll I would’ve lost.
Im glad you had a win streak with it. Im on a 11 lose streak, dropped to Gold 5 sadly #NoLuck Felt like I was just boosting other accounts tbh. Best of luck to those who try it
The only way you could win with an exodia deck is if you get that library, first draw. If you dont, you have only 2 chances to draw for it. If you dont, you're not going to win the duel unless you're opponents fucks up some how.
My favorite is the guy gunsblazing went against in his Exodia deck. Summon Tenyi Spirit - Vishuda. Crash. Activate a trap on battle destruction that allowed him to summon from deck as many monsters as possible whose total level equaled the level of the battle destroyed monster. Summon the head and 3 pieces and Tenyi Spirit - Adhara. Activate Sound The Retreat to bounce his own board, win by Exodia.
@@KylePhantasm my favorite deck right now is Tenyi, and this would probably be the only Exodia deck I would play since it's not complete solitaire turn 1
I'd love a video explaining how the ocg is so much more powerful with all the broken stuff yet people still play fair competitive Yu-Gi-Oh and it's not just ftks left and right. It has to be culture thing right?
Think about it as rock, paper, scissors The combo decks are kept in check by decks with a lot of disruption, the decks with a lot of disruption lose to fair decks, and the fair lose to combo (this is an oversimplification ofc) Basically when there's a lot of broken stuff available, every broken thing keeps the other broken things in check
@@zelike360 yeah I kinda thought it would be something like that. But it's interesting enough that I'd love to see a historical meta analysis of broken stuff checking other stuff. But they banned mystic mine??? I want to hear more about it all and what their players think about it. It all seems so interesting. I'd watch the hell out of a documentary on it.
@@zelike360 It also ends with a lot of duels being decided by starting hand rng, so it's not really good for a BO1 format where you can't actually side deck in stuff
@@kihakami4671 that's more of a problem with yugioh being the only card game without mulligan than with the amount of games per match or the ban list tho
I'm afraid the popularity of this new one turn exodia wins will eventually change the rules. Either some cards get limited or banned or something like you can't substitute your spell field card the same turn you put it, idk.
They'd just limit upstart and ban chicken game like in the TCG if anything. If you can't substitute field spells you'd also be hurting decks like Dragon Link, Dream Mirrors, UA.
This deck bricks pretty easily if you don’t get a library or the spell that lets you search for one the first turn. Think it’s the only drawback vs the other exodia builds where they still have a chance without a library
Awesome deck. But, I like to warn you about something. You may want to watch out for Imperial Order. Masked Hero Dark Law. Macro Cosmos. Necrovalley. Ash Blossom. Ghost Belle. And Called By The Grave. I suppose this is the FTK Exodia deck, huh?
100% win rate my arse. The chain breaks 4 out of 5 games even when I'm playing first. No mistakes. It just ends on its own. Now, I may be the unluckiest man alive, but still...
Your reaction of "ooo, that must not be good!" when seeing Magical Mallet is just... puzzling to me. Its SUCH a good card, and i dont get why people avoid using it as much as possible i Exodia decks. Yeah, its purpose is to basically unbrick your hand, but it has ZERO cost invovled in that, its just a straight up reshuffle your hand, and redraw the same amount of cards, there is no downside to that.
Tecnically is a minus 1, since you lose the magical mallet when you activate it, but that minus doesn't matter on a Exodia deck, because you want to draw into the draw engines when you are at the start of the game, or your Exodia pieces when your deck is thin enough so you have a higher chance to draw the Exodia pieces.
@@ARM-jz2qy Pretty much the point. Exodia decks WANT to have less of other cards to draw into that arent draw power or the pieces themselves, so the techincal -1 isnt really a disadvantage as it would in other decks. Mallets just that good to play BECAUSE it puts you into that position without any actual downside for you, so thats why its puzzling to me that its not played more often.
I always wonder why most Exodia player don’t play Double Summon. Like it makes so much sense since Magical Library’s effect is not once per turn, and everyone always end up with having extra library in hand.
Double summon doesn’t replace itself on use, meaning it’s a -2/3 (it’s one spell counter on your library). It’s stronger if you start with enough spells, and weaker if you start with too many Pieces.

This combined with the trade in(blue eyes exodia deck) might make something really solid
adding the brick-eyes engine would make it less consistent
Dzeef become an exodia yugi tuber.
I dont know why it happened but I aint complaining
First time I fought an exodia deck, I negated(but not destroyed) a single library and it slowed my opponent down alot, I found it funny because I wasn't sure if they were still expecting to draw a card from library.
I have been duped again into wasting more SR and UR chips into a deck by this man. Keeps bricking very easily. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I really don't.
@Buddy_Cactus Yeah I think having a thumbnail that says 100% win rate is pretty misleading
Dzeeff queued into season 0 Yugi himself
Dzeeff: I'm gonna copy this guy's deck
Me: I'm gonna copy Dzeeff copying that guy deck
got an ad for "solitare story" on this one. Very fitting.
I’ve always believed that the bamboo draw engine has been one of the more consistent draw engines out there
lol no, the destiny hero engine is bcz u can use trade in and destiny draw and never brick on those.
I love these solitaire exodia deck video. This one seems consistent.
ive been commenting on a similar version of the deck in a few steamers/youtubers comment sections last few days - which is to play 1 or 2 double summons as with library its totally busted. It was the way i used to run it. Maybe some players have seen them and thought thats actually not a bad idea and implemented it into their decks.
I also ran mine with foolish and some hand destruction quick play to send the Exodia pieces dead cards to grave then recover them with factory
the one thing i like about this deck as well is its up to how you play it because it cant be bricked only if you make a mistake with how you proceed
Lesson: if you see a round start magical library *RUN*
Someone played dd crow against me today. It exists
@Sassyquatch i tihnk the deck is trying to avoid letting the opponent draw into hand traps which is way no one day of peace
Well I guess were not getting a "why nobody play's double summon" video. Lol
It has niche use as shown here. Otherwise, it's a sorta bad -1.
I literally played against this deck today! Lol. Of course when I viewed the deck profile afterward, (I won due to Droll & Lock) I didn’t have any idea what the guy was doing with it or how it worked. Now I know after watching this and seeing it in action on how it works, if I didn’t have Droll I would’ve lost.
good to finally see this deck that I've lost against last week
Exodia and Dryton; I scoop when faced with an opponent who would rather play solitaire.
Cant wait for EP2 of Master Saga, the first EP was a blast
That name for the deck is hilarious
Im glad you had a win streak with it.
Im on a 11 lose streak, dropped to Gold 5 sadly #NoLuck
Felt like I was just boosting other accounts tbh.
Best of luck to those who try it
Master Duel: the Exodia ftk optimization game. In another month Exodia will be a S tier ftk deck that resists hand traps :p
really want to see more of this ridiculous deck.
This really goes to illustrate how yu-gi-oh is a single player game now.
The only way you could win with an exodia deck is if you get that library, first draw.
If you dont, you have only 2 chances to draw for it. If you dont, you're not going to win the duel unless you're opponents fucks up some how.
true!
Activate Sound The Retreat to bounce his own board, win by Exodia.
i run that version, limit resist wall and sound the retreat!
Think about it as rock, paper, scissors
The combo decks are kept in check by decks with a lot of disruption, the decks with a lot of disruption lose to fair decks, and the fair lose to combo (this is an oversimplification ofc)
Basically when there's a lot of broken stuff available, every broken thing keeps the other broken things in check
@@zelike360 yeah I kinda thought it would be something like that. But it's interesting enough that I'd love to see a historical meta analysis of broken stuff checking other stuff. Like I definitely see the argument for Maxx C restricting combos a ton. And nibiru as well. But I'd love to know how supreme king starving venom or the tyrant Neptune are fine lol.
The entire first game he was just looking for a double summon- and he got there anyways Jesus
Exodia Deck ist ein sehr gutes Deck aller Zeiten ^^ dafür bekommt es 1000 Likes xD
LMFAO this guy ran into Team SamuraiX1 in master duel and saw his deck and then made his deck name "our" exodia deck. I am DYING 😂😭😂
A real valentines day exodia deck would be for True Exodia.
I think Dzeeff likes playing exodia as much as any other deck
I saw those Relinquished deck cards in your hand there, now I'm curious about the deck you were playing before this one.
Fortune lady + exodia combo is much crazier trust me
What was this heart of the cards bs. Lol so good 👍
Solitaire has come a long way.
Did something similar in Duel Links with another Exodia deck, but focused on Treasure Panda instead. Not a %100 win rate, but still fun.
This deck bricks pretty easily if you don’t get a library or the spell that lets you search for one the first turn. Think it’s the only drawback vs the other exodia builds where they still have a chance without a library
With how much you seem to be loving exodia in Master Duel, you should totally add it to your YT banner.
So I swiped this deck and named it: “yes “OUR” exodia deck”
That last duel was the equivalent of Yu-gi-Oh edging.
throwing in photon lead is essentially a second double summon/third if you already double summoned just fyi
Mallets just that good to play BECAUSE it puts you into that position without any actual downside for you, so thats why its puzzling to me that its not played more often.
you go -1 in hand size, mallet dont recycle itself back
Fought an exodia deck today, necroface made him quit as soon as his exodia piece was banished lol
Btw shouldnt "Super Rejuvenation" work now? Since there is an option to select the order if 2 cards are activated at once.
I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure this deck is from team samurai X1 which is pretty cool to see that you lost them or their view
iirc Sam played the Blue-Eyes engine in his deck
this is so peak modern yu gi oh, you can't disturb you oponent play? sit and watch someone play solitarie
If you can't beat them, join them
Yeah screw eldich, exodia ftw
i play the pendulum monster in my extra deckless timelord deck. Its essentially a free draw/body or bait for negate
Dzeef just learning about a 6yo deck. xD
