I agree they were pretty smart, but nevertheless the dialogues were very interesting and intelligent with supstance. The show was with supstance showing human and family values. Sadly we don't have such today.
It's amazing that my 7-year-old has already seen nearly every episode of the Cosby show for the 8 years it was on TV. She loves it, especially scenes like this.
Kenny should have played Elvins brother. They think alike. This is exactly how Elvin was before Claire changed him. And Rudy is very much like Sandra very bossy. Lol
So that explains why Rudy choose to date Stanley instead of dating Kenny. To me Kenny and Rudy argue too much and relationship shouldn't be like that usually when a boy and girl argue alot they've secretly likes each other. But all of that changed when Rudy met and started dating Stanley. And Kenny was very jealous over them, having his girlfriend Deadrea believe that he wasn't a good boyfriend for her. Maybe he's still not over Rudy.

It is a man’s role to open the door for a women!!! So on that I disagree. If a man is walking with a woman he should open the door for her!! It shows he’s a gentlemen. (Edited)
Rudy: Bud! Kenny: My name's Kenny! Rudy: Bud! Kenny: My name's Kenny! Rudy: Bud! Kenny: My name's Kenny! Rudy: Bud! Kenny: My name's Kenny! That was going to go on for a while.
Back in the 80's kids at that age, could go just about anywhere, go a friend house that stay near by, or go to the corner store to get candy, bread, or milk, without worrying about kidnappers, or pedophile roaming the streets. Today, you can't do that anymore. So, yeah kids can get away with it at the time.
Newsflash: Kidnappers and pedophiles have always been out there. They are not a new invention. Back then, a lot of kids were not taught to speak up. Unfortunately, the media has scared the bejeezus out of everyone.
Shara - Absolutely not true. Crime was WAY higher in the 80's than it is now, especially in NYC where this show took place. NYC had horrible gang problems, muggins, etc. way worse in the 80's than it does now. We all just think everything is worse now because of social media and the news making us panic about everything.
I find it interesting how he didn't address the whole gender stereotypes thing. Granted it's become a bigger issue now than before. However, the whole "Male superiority" thing is still an issue he could've addressed back then.
Feminism has taken things too far. I realize, naturally, the basis for the scene is Kenny's obnoxious brother and the humorous situations it causes, however, there is nothing wrong with old fashioned good manners, either, which is how I was raised and how I raised my kids. My husband opens doors for me, and so does my son. We all laughed at this scene, we know where the humor is, but in my home, men open and hold doors for women, it is expected. If feminists weren't trying so hard to be men, they could learn to enjoy being women. (I am speaking of the extremist feminists, of course)
For anyone who’s feeling down: Romans 8:18 “The pain you’ve been feeling can’t compare to the joy that is coming!” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Whatever is going on right now, have faith, your situation will get better. :) Jesus bless anyone reading this and have a great day!!🥰✨💖
I do it because I honor you as a woman, i hold the door for everyone, thats manners, i honor you, but ESPECIALLY for a woman, child or the elderly. Its a respect thing. I believe a man should hold a door for a woman because she is the weaker vessel, and no im not saying women are weak, im saying that my body structure is literally made with a greater possession of physical strength. Thats just how male and females are made, women NATURALLY are softer and rounder, whereas men have a blockier build, we are built to protect and lead, whereas a woman is meant to care and grow. Now gender roles get muddled, where there is a lack of identity in the man or woman. Alot of men, especially black men do not take up the role of leader in their house, so the woman takes on the role and its unfortunate that this is the case. But thats how God intended. AGAIN! this doesn't mean a woman is LESS than a man. I need you. And you need me. I bring something to the table and you bring something to the table. We are both VERY important. If you take offense to this that means you need a heart check. God bless you.
It's a shame Bill Cosby turned out to be a garbage human being. Because the lessons in this show are ones kids should learn, and the show was REALLY funny.
Be whatever you want to be. You want to be a woman or man or a gay or a lesbian, go ahead. At the same time, don't expect people to like you when you are not what they are looking for. Simple as that. As you have your choice what to be, they have their choice what to like.
@@htacapparel6922 Where I’m from, everyone opens doors for each other regardless of gender. As a woman, I find it annoying waiting for anyone to open my door for me. If they’re already there and I don’t have to wait then that’s fine, but I won’t wait for someone to open it for me. It can be a kind gesture, but not everyone wants that and that’s fine too.
