His highlight reel is kind of thin, but that's because he's so good at getting open, he's not really a catch in traffic guy or speedster. Seattle has those in Richardson and Graham. That's why this pick us so exciting

Lockett ate all day against defenses because he has rare ability to rapidly eat up DB cushion on comeback routes for an open throw. That's a money-trait for chain-moving receivers, because it makes them first-down machines and reliable go-to options for a QB when the pass-rush closes in faster than expected.
If you watch the film (not highlights), you see Lockett makes these types of receptions constantly. They're not as highlight-reel glamorous as a double-move or contested catch or whatever, but when a guy is doing them on the regular, it wins games much more effectively than the odd flashy catch.

His resemblance to Tate is uncanny. Can definitely see why Schneider picked him up. I just really hope he was worth giving up 3 picks.
Yeah it was a lot but moving up a whole round. I think we would have had to give up the 4th and the 5th. Maybe we could have held that 6th but really after Strong the drop off in WR was significant, The Hawks have limited spots so all those picks mean nothing if they aren't going to make the squad.

Great underrated player. Love this kid but seahawks should have address a taller stronger receiver for there division. Theres alot of hard hitting and tall strong guy in the NFC west. I dont see him makeing a impact right away... maybe his second season is when he really hits his strides. Not saying he won't start but I dont see anything above 600 receiving yards 4/5 TDs 35 catches! But we will see what happens come week one.

For all of those saying he's a Golden Tate or Percy Harvin clone, don't get me wrong I love the pick, but he doesn't have the strength or top end speed of either of those guys. He's a better route runner and is probably quicker than either, but I'd liken him more to an Antonio Brown lite. We'll see, but he fills the role in a very different way than Tate or Harvin

***** I didn't say he wasn't fast, but he doesn't have Hilton or Tate's speed Both of those guys played with a better top end than Lockett. 40 times are overrated. Perriman ran a 4.25, but on the field he looks like a 4.5 guy. Same goes for Lockett. He definitely doesn't have Tate's lower body or runs strength. He's a better route runner than both, and probably quicker too, but he's not going to break tackles like Tate and he doesn't run away from people like Hilton

Lolll he's nothing like Hester. All Hester did was return kicks good for a few years. Lockett is a great receiver and returner. He has great hands, great route running that's already better then most NFL vets, and knows how to play slot and outside. If anything he's a little like a young Antonio Brown
