Why is Cloud based systems such as Make a Data Security issue? (5:25)

Cloud platforms (not just Make - any cloud service) process your data through their servers, With cloud services, your data needs to flow through external servers, but with local deployment(like community version of n8n + ollama), everything stays within your own network. That's why some small businesses dealing with sensitive information (ex: small law firm handling sensitive client contracts) often prefer local solutions. For most day-to-day automation needs, cloud platforms like Make Zapier are totally fine and much more convenient.

@@sean-zzzz Online banking data flows through external servers too. Privacy issues are different obviously. But cloud security is pretty robust these days with all sorts of data protection features such as MFA. It's an interesting theme to explore. But I would not say that Cloud security is defacto less secure. It depends.
