Old Nerd Reviews *-Crack 1 Egg or Crack A Few 🐔🔥 Yummmm-*
I stay at hotels for 3-7 days at a time. With a fridge and microwave in the room this is a great idea for me. Tried today for the 1st time with 2 eggs (takes a couple minutes). It did the job. I will be buying more. Paid $1.98 at Walmart. Thanks for the review.
For $2.49 it should have came with the eggs too.... 🥚🍳🤤
Trying it this morning for my husband as he is on a heart diet. I will be using egg whites about 2 plus one yolk. My daughter eats them most morning and she says it fills her up. You can use more than 1 egg.
Thanks, I was curious about these.
Thanks for tuning in!
I get the protein one not shown problem supermarket never have need to hunt down half the time.I make and cook differently add 2 eggs add more cheese and sometimes spice up with cut pepperoni but need to cook longer etc.
Great channel, really good!
Thanks for sharing, gonna try it... Ray
Being inspired by these interesting little quick cup meals I'm going to the shops tomorrow and getting a corn+bean+pepper frozen veg mix, + diced onion, + grated cheese, h
+ cherry tomatoes, + cabanossi, and I'm going to throw this all in a small sauce pan with 3 eggs and make a gangster frittata.
I first tried one and liked it enough to buy 4 more. First one I tried was the "protein packed scrambled egg ". I agree it should have more in it. I'm currently looking for a way to make my own so get more of a actual meal without spending so much. Bought my 1st one from walmart and the other 4 from foodlion. Both had the same price $2.50 each. Wife saw what I bought and thought I was nasty for buying it. She judge before trying.
My son always has them on hand.
I wake up for work at 4:00 in the morning. This seems like a pretty good option for me so I don't wake up everybody in the house cooking a breakfast
My son keeps a regular stock of them
You should try the jimmy dean ones they come complete with an egg.
What???? Jimmy dean has one also??? Going hunting at the grocerers next time!!!!
Hi. Brian Manis,it's true the Jimmy Dean ones do come with an egg,but the sausage is pork,so since I have high blood pressure I am not allowed to eat them,so I will stick with the turkey sausage ones from Ore Ida . from South Louisiana.
People don't seem to realize it's nothing but an omelette in a bowl. Make your own omelette. These breakfast bowls aren't worth $2.50. It's a small bowl of diced potatoes, sausage crumbles, and cheddar cheese. You supply the egg.
No, it's scrambled eggs with stuffed mixed into it.

It's a small bowl of diced potatoes, sausage crumbles, and cheddar cheese. You supply the egg. That's not worth $2.50 cents.
It seems to be about what most stores charge, unless you go to Walmart and bought some yesterday for $1.98. it was actually the first time that I've tried them, and am impressed for a microwavable item. Although I actually used 2 medium-size eggs and dr it up with a little sharp cheddar, and will definitely get it again
Just Crack an Egg has my vote. I add 2 eggs and cook a few seconds more. Don't foget the salt & pepper. It's easy, fast and tasty.
I like it!
love the background music im going to shazam it very aerobics worthy
Had the all American scramble with one egg. I then put it on a tortilla and made a breakfast burrito and considering it came out of the microwave I was highly impressed. Got them at a Food Lion and they were 2/$4. I have another one and I will most likely do the same thing with it.
I just had a Denver Scramble Kit. Did 2 eggs. Fresh cracked peppercorns. I liked it a lot. Lazy breakfast with minimal clean up
Sounds great! 🤓🖖
you will have to cook double the time suggested, maybe 3xs if using 2 eggs
I'll be reviewing a competitor of theirs soon. Stay tuned! 🤓🖖
Sounds like a good idea!
Follow this up with a Glenfiddich 15 year old and you have an awesome morning! Your welcome!
Years ago when I was a bachelor Ore-Ida used to sell a bag of potatoes, peppers, onions, etc just like in these but a whole frozen bag. I used to grab a handful and fry up in olive oil so they are nice and cokked then add two eggs for a quick tasty heartier breakfast. Do they still have this product? I can't find it.
I don't know, but if popular and good, I would think they would have kept it around. Sounds great!
Do you mean bags of flash frozen veggies like McCain's do?
JUST CRACK AN EGG FART
I try to keep 2 or 3 of these in the fridge. Perfect for being snacky at night and want something during a movie without spending too many calories. Yeah, the price is high, but I don't mind spending the extra on the convenience and idea. I will crack 2 eggs though to get more out of it.
Just had the ultimate style, seems to be the most purchased at our store. My microwave was set for one minute, then stir, added another minute, stir again. Seems to be my best setting, I like hard scrambled. I gave it your rating.
I like how you showed how make these. Also the catchy music. Good to change style every once in awhile ^_^
I really like this idea wish we had it in the uk you could also make a awesome omelette with it
Good video review of this product. Between two of us, we've had three varieties of this new product so far, and we're quite big fans! It's not a 'large' meal by any means, but quite sufficient, very tasty and economical. $2+ for an entire meal... c'mon! That's very affordable! We add salt & pepper, and chop-up a few jalapeño slices for an extra kick (we like food with lots of flavor). Affordable, tasty, nutritious, and convenient... Bottom line - two thumbs up!
Stir it a lot, both times. Cook it a bit longer than the package instructions. It will end up fluffier and fill much more of the cup. Definitely needs salt & pepper. OK to add other ingredients. I've added some leftover bacon from the fridge, crumpled into bits, and that was a nice added touch.
I use 2 organic eggs once it's done I put it on a whole wheat tortilla
the American Scramble Kit is my favorite, but I agree it needs to be $1.99.
Could I use this kit in a pan/stove top.......?
Give it a shot. See what happens.
You'll have to let us know if you try one with two eggs... I'm just wondering if it will affect the cook time. Or maybe if you stick with the same time, will the egg be underdone?
Let the experimentations begin!
$1.98 at our local Walmart.
I have enjoyed all 4 variants of JCAE and they all provide a quick tasty low carb breakfast. The price however $2.99 (Safeway) is a bit steep for a little bit of meat, cheese, pepper and potato; plus a plastic cooking vessel . I find myself inspired to invest the time in buy baggies and create my own ingredient packs. Heck if I wanta get real cheap i can just recycle the JCAE plastic cups. So to summarize.... great marketing scheme in creating a new great breakfast product, best of all no dirty dishes to clean up....However, in my opinion, the steep pricing will likely turn away most repeat customers. So take the hint Ore-Ida, bring the price down to compete as an oatmeal substitute and I believe it will be a runaway breakfast bonanza
I'm surprised Safeway still exists
I go with 2 eggs and cut up bits of cooked steak marinated in Teriyaki sauce and add a little shroon
Looks good but needs a lower price so I would add two Jumbo Eggs! If I find any, I'll try and let you know how I like it. Great Review Tony!
Eric Perich so how was it?
I never buy Jumbo eggs, because I feel sorry for the hens. Anyway, do some people not have leftover cheese, sausage, and things like that, or a skillet? I prefer the skillet, but I'm sure that a microwave would work. Definitely do the two egg thing.
It's definitely a convenience product. Little time, no ingredients, quick and easy. Same reason people opt for fast food. 🤓🖖
A mini sauce pan 4"h/4"d is so much better to use for this "frittata" style breakfast than a skillet/frying pan :)
Oh, wait reminds me....
-What Came First-
📤📥
The Egg
Or
*🐔* Chicken
xD 💓
The defective eggs came first, because chickens came from eggs that were birthed by another birds in a new area that their bodies weren’t used to. Which caused the birthed eggs to be sort of defective, but producing chickens instead of their original animal
ADD MORE EGGS NEXT TIME!
Instead of useing in microwave I use them as a omelet as normal in skillet on stove and they are great that way.and for a 2 bucks that's great .
In that case, you may enjoy a review I have coming up in a couple weeks.
Add two eggs but you should scramble the egg first with pepper then heat for 40seconds then stir and add back into the microwave for 50seconds and do not stir again because it flattens the eggs.
Too bad they don’t add an egg to the kit. It does look pretty good. The price is pretty high like you said. Great review Tony! Thanks!
Their website says you can add two eggs.
Add whatever you like. My son does. ;)
Damm you got ripped, I get them at my store for .90
Welcome to WA where prices are through the roof and we are taxed into poverty
bing crosby- doubt it..
Mine are 2 for $4
Agreed on value. I like these though.
I had the ultimate scrambler and I wasnt that impressed. You dont really get much onion and pepper flavor in it. I added some salt and pepper cause it was rather bland. I think the next one I try I'm going to add 2 eggs and maybe some onion powder salt and pepper in before microwaving. I agree that it is more on the pricey side. If it came with everything 2.50 wouldnt be to bad but supplying the egg yourself I think 1.99 is about right.
Hey tony ! Please do a review on the GI joes you have on Instagram. Thanks
I don't own them
@@oldnerdreviews oh...OK I'm a old nerd also and I have about ten of those GI Joe's some with Kung fu grip .thanks
I loved mine. I had the all-terrain vehicle, the helicopter, and multiple Joe's with Kung Fu Grip. That's when toys were quality!
LikeSpike 🎉 Mwuaaaah 💓 All Thanks Everyone For Joining 👏😘😍
💓 All 💓 Such a Beautiful Chat 💓
99cents at the $99 cents only store.
Looks EGGcellent"..🍳😁
i think this should b 1$ I'm sure we'll be seeing this in dollar stores soon, I was going to ask is it possible to eat this like home fries but it seems theres nothing much in the packets
MsPookie2 surprised that there is a lot in the packets but adding one egg is gross. Two eggs is super yunmy and fluffy. My stores sell these for $2. I caught a good sale of 2/$4 buy 5 save $5 and was able to use a $2.50 coupon that printed from the register before I paid. Super cheap
I don't eat microwave food. Actually, I don't own a microwave. Because, I don't eat microwave anything. ☹️
So what? That has nothing to do with this subject. Nobody cares.
Eggxcellent
This is a good concept, but poor execution. Over packaged, small portion, pricey, and too many steps for a microwave meal. (add egg, heat, stir, heat again, stir. Not for me.
You forgot to say Grace!
Over priced 😳For what it is 😣👎👎👎👎 don't bother 😠😡🤢
I love you
so much plastic pollution
