Yeah, thats because your brain sees these images and associates them with memories of places you actually have been to. Things you actually have done, such as the bowling one, or the waterpark, or the indoor playspaces. i am from the Caribbean and i can confirm these are very interesting, some of them remind me of places ive been to even tho the only similarity is the lighting or texture of an object, especially at 4:55 it just gives me feels of a beach house i visited regularly as a kid. I feel like most of these places would be way more interesting to ppl who aren’t American cuz I’ve definitely been to a few of these or somewhere similar, like 4:17 looks like the outside of a Walgreens at night

i am from the Caribbean and i can confirm these are very interesting, some of them remind me of places ive been to even tho the only similarity is the lighting or texture of an object, especially at 4:55 it just gives me feels of a beach house i visited regularly as a kid. I just cant help to wonder what memories were actually made in these places, even tho not having ever been to America these photos really opened up my mind to what more there is out there and how differently people live their lives
I really wish my life before this was a kid who got to grow up in the 60's through to the 90's. That time frame was my favourite for some of the fashion; besides the 1800 of course :)

I think more chill and surreal music like vaporwave fits just as well with liminal images as the creepy video game music they usually use. It definitely gives it a different feel, but there's still that otherworldly feeling present, even if it is fainter
