- Hello there! In this video I’ll be showing how I made some ambient music using only a wine glass! I recorded a few different sounds from the wine glass onto the @teenageengineering OP-1 Field, using their lovely CM-15 condenser microphone, and then got to work! What follows is a series of explorations culminating in some ambient music made entirely from those wine glass recorded samples, enjoy!

That was a fun and cozy watch. Chill tunes and a really well-edited video on top. Kudos!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! That’s the aim, fun & cozy!
Came for the mic, stayed for the amazing film techniques & soothing tones captured. Love seeing people use the gear I got in ways I wouldn't normally use mine.
Thank you! 😀 Yeh it’s such a cool mic, so incredibly designed, I tried my best to capture it, and the process of using it, I definitely want to use the mic more too, got a part 2 of this wine glass series coming soon too, so look out for that if you’re interested! 👍
Thats wonderful. Its amazing to see how much mastery you have on the OP-1. Fantastic stuff, subscribed.
Thank you! Very kind, I’m glad you enjoyed the video (there’s a part 2 coming soon!) thanks for subscribing and welcome to the channel!
so glad found my way to this video, really beautiful, thanks!
Thanks Jamie! I’m glad you enjoyed it, I put a lot of work into this one, so glad it’s appreciated! There may possibly be a part 2 and part 3 coming soon! 😉👍
Would love to get the final track somewhere! Love it :)
Thanks! Unfortunately I don’t have any music elsewhere at the moment, just here on RUclips, I’d be happy to release just the track on here if you’d listen here! I am planning on working on a release, EP or Album in the future though 😀👍
Great vid!
Cheers! There’s a second part coming soon!
This is really nice!
Thank you! 👍
BRILLIANT
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! 😀

Amazing 🙏
Thank you! Stay tuned for the part 2!
Brilliant! 👏🏼
Thanks Novak! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Recently sold all my gear out of a desire to be more minimal and focused on making music instead of experimenting. Had a bunch of modular effects and a Norns with grid. Watching this makes me feel I made the right choice by sticking only to my complete Teenage Engineering field kit and Ableton. The only piece of gear i’m missing in my heart is my Panharmonium 😅 But i’m on a search to find a plugin that can re-synthesize similarly! Any recommendations?
Wow! Eerie! I haven’t sold all my gear, but I definitely go through phases of pairing down to simpler setups, still glad I have the modular though, and I’ve been interested in the Panharmonium for ages, the closest I got was a firmware for Desmodus Versio, which mimicked Panharmonium but with fewer voices I think, not sure about software, you’d think there’d be something for ableton? If I think of anything I’ll let you know! 😀 this was a fun idea for me though, so glad you enjoyed it!
How was the audio recording on TP-7 used?
I think in this video I used it to record the signal from the OP-1 for the video audio, I do this so when I’m exploring and figuring stuff out but not recording on the OP-1 I still capture it, in case I want to use it in the video, I also used it to record some wine glass sounds, in case I want to use those recordings again in the future 😀
