Man, I truly appreciate you replicating things in Sytrus. PLEASE, PLEASE continue this series, and please replicate it in Sytrus. That will be very helpful. A Huge Fan, Yash Bughani
Hi Yash, I want to keep making sound design videos in both synths, its a great idea. I hope that my Sytrus tutorial and the sound design series help unlock lots of capability in Sytrus for you :)
All the producers after knowing that finally they'll be able to make a perfect sounding snare after watching this tutorial we are all happy and so thankful to you my man😭😭❤
@@YXMATU yes, if you are into dubstep snares, you can check out the snares from Virtual Riot. As mentioned earlier, he made a tutorial a few years ago. Good luck and have fun :)
@@inthemix can the audio quality actually get worse if I edit an audio file again in FL Studio and then save it again? I would like to edit an mp3 again in another Fl project and hope that it doesn't get worse with more edits. I hope someone can help me.
Michael, I've gotta say that I am SO grateful for the work you do. You have massively upped the game when it comes to RUclips tutorials. The many hours which you've put in to making these videos (and making them WELL) have helped me and SO many others to get past the headaches of music production; to get past the controls and sliders and reach that creative place that is, at the end of the day, the only place we want to be when we sit down to produce. Seriously, man. I just had to pause and rant for a second. I hope that you get some pretty strong, life-scale validation out of knowing that you have helped so many of us do what you love, and what we love. Rock on, dude. 🎧🤘🎵 -Connor B.
I'm sure you hear this often, but your channel is/has been a *MASSIVE* help and pool of knowledge for a newbie music maker like myself. I can't overstate it, you among with couple of other channels have given me so much stuff for my mind to chew on. These videos are invaluable for anyone new to creating soundscapes on their computers/instruments. Much love and great vibes for you, thank you so much for making all these guides!!!!
Jussi Ekholm Thanks Jussi, it’s always special to hear this sort of positivity so I’m thankful for your comment, it’s really made my day! I have to agree that there are a few channels which constantly teach me new and exciting things too :)
The best (Mike) just got even better. For Mike, "AI" means Always Improving. I greatly appreciate how he is now seamlessly showing how to do sound design with both stock and third party plugins -- all in the same video! It shows he is always thinking, never coasting.
I'm loving al this sound design tutorials, just started with this an already sounds nice. Just making my best to translate this to the Hybrid 3 in Cubse, but nothing I cannot solve. Thanks a lot fr this!
i was literally searching for a beginners' tutorial on snare sound design yesterday.... i was so down when i saw that mike didn't make a video on it yet....... well, finally we have it
You can search any tutorial of Michael and you will always find someone who JUST really needed THAT particular tutorial on THAT particular day. I swear Michael has some kinds of telepathic skills to know what his fans need to see.
Sytrus is like alien tech to me.. You make it easy to follow.. BUT the onnnllyyy thing I can say is I wish people explained WHY you frah crtain things to certain knobs and why not to different one.. I understand when you say "drag env 3 to this knob" but WHYYY is what if like to know. Theres no many knobs and it would be nice to know why I would do that so I can use that knowledge on other creations? OTHERWISE ace tutorial man!
Fucking finally. This video’s perfect! I work on Logic and have Alchemy. Yet this video still did the job since they mostly have the same functions. Thanks a lot 🔥
For those of you that have Vital and are like ''where is coarse pitch in Vital'' its basicaly the left number on the pitch panel of your oscilator. To get the desired sound i would set it to 12 in the automation. Do not touch de minus -24 semitones tho...
Nice one! Just a quick addition. If you link env 1 or whichever you like really to your noise level it can add a nice clap effect I've found. In case anyone wants to know. If you don't already...
whats missing imo, is what parts of a sound a snare does have u using the terms without describing them in the first place (attack aka punch; body; tail) integrate that and ur good to go
I feel dumb for asking this, but how did you switch from Serum window to Sytrus window so quickly? Is your pattern view off screen or is there a quick shortcut you were doing?
My pattern view is indeed off the screen capture, I just did it to clean up the video. In my FL basics videos I make sure to include each workflow step so as to not confuse people but in these sound design ones I edit quite a lot out to keep it smooth and quick, sorry for any confusion!

The sytrus tutorial you made really helped me, I can actually make sounds how I want them instead of using default presets for every song. Great stuff

Drum synthesis always seemed so daunting to me, this video has inspired me to give it a shot. Thank you as always!
