Boss truly is the greatest pedal company ever. In the last 25 years or so, Ive owned so many pedals from so many pedals by other manufacturers (boutique and standard), but in the end they always get replaced by a BOSS pedal!!!
And I just bought a Flashback 2 for my small board...D'oh! Still got my DD5, tap tempo modded, will never sell. Ever. But this DD8 is *the* perfect compact road-worthy delay. I will own one...someday.
Honestly, this is one of my most favorite demo vids (of all)... the guitarist is great; the sample tunes are great; the tone is fantastic; and, the use/control of the effect is superb! Thanks, Boss! :) Cheers! :)
I was just wondering what the best expression pedal to accompany this pedal is? Do you need one expression and another for tap tempo? What's the best setup?
So I noticed @0:39 that you have cables coming from Output A and B but using a MONO source. Just to be clear, this is taking a mono signal and outputting stereo correct?
The glitch and shimmer sound super cool only other thing I would've wanted is a short looper built in but this is still pretty rad for those effects alone... wait hold on, I'm stupid and didn't check your website, it has a loop, easy buy now lol
I own a DD-7 and the only downside to having a pedal like this as opposed to say a timeline is the fact that you can’t easily and quickly change between setting on the dds.
Hi Elizabeth i used an FS5 to control the tap tempo and the warp function and the expression pedal was controlling the feedback. But you can set an expression pedal to control any parameters
Seems to be a lot of people getting hold of one these Chapman guitars of late. It would be nice to see someone independent perform a review other than listening to Rob Chapman continuously blow his own trumpet. Huge fan of Boss, but I have enough Boss pedals for now.

IMHO it’s pretty easy to set a DD-7 or 8 once you practice a little.

No such luck, unfortunately. You change subdivisions globally by inserting plugs in a certain configuration and turning knobs. Pretty inconvenient.

One of the only pedals I have held onto for 25 years is my boss delay.
I've my DD3 for nearly 40 years...still on my pedalboard...the only Boss pedal.

I've worked on a few, they are ok. They are priced correctly for what you get in terms of feel and options.

This was into 2 boss nextone amps and we used a JB-2 for drive sounds
