@wingfoil_mallorca It really does help! Especially for those who can't test before they buy. I have the 1150/short reg. fuse/460v1 rear on a 82cm aluminum mast. I love it for everything I do winging but eyeing up my next move. I want to get into the black fuselage range and think the 1401/ultrashort adv. with one of the skinny rears will take over the very light wind and paddle ups I want to explore and then use a smaller ArtPro or a spitfire *xxx* for the medium to higher winds. We rarely get 20-35knot days.
Great test Fred. I am glad Ruben was game enough to take a chance with this challenge - good on him! Did anyone ask Ruben to give his opinion on flat water or downwinding foiling with a 1050 HPS? That is where I intend to give it a go in sunny Perth and don’t feel like spending my hard earned On yet another piece of kit if I know I don’t need to or at least for a while. Cheers Fred
Hi Frederic, yeah, what an effort getting through all of those foils. Yes, we have talked about making something similar and adding PNG 1300, could throw in HPS 1050 also. Stay tuned! 💪💪
Hi. Excellent video and most informative, thanks. I didn't quite understand which fuselage was being used? And would he gain better low end results eg: earlier lift and better pumping with a larger stabiliser? Regards.
Thank you! He was using the "short" fuselage. Good point! Probably a bit larger stabiliser could help the slower wings, I think the 1121 rides best with a skinny stab because it is meant to be used in fast conditions. But the 1100, 1401 probably would benefit.
Great Review. I know he was standing on a slope at the beach but his Paddle length seemed a little long compared to some Pro DWSUPFer's. Does Ruben use a different length Paddle for Flat Water vs DW Bumps/Waves/Swell?
Hi, yes when you are in the water shorter will be better, you have more power and les shoulder efforce. But when you are flying some times i dont touch the water in some strockes, that make me some inestability. We are now testing going with a paddle two pieces and we change the large when we are flying
Also in every country has different power swell, you can see people that when thay are flying not use the paddle again, only pumping with the legs. In my place we use a lot the paddle to keep fly between bumps
Yes, I agree. Looks definitely easiest of them all. It would have been great if he also had tested a PNG 1300 as comparison. Might do another video on this topic when Ruben got his breath back to normal again. That was some serious effort to pull that off. Hat of for that.
Hi, im was trying to splain that for begginers learning is better the 1300png or 1310 depend your weight, but of course when you are flying it has a lot of drag to keep going. 1401 is a lot better when you are flying but on the water is better the others at the beginning
7:40 When Ruben is explaining more about the ARTPRO1401, it is in the context of comparing it to PNG 1300/1310.
Great Effort! Great Vid. Thx Guys
Thanks, yes, incredible effort doing the video. And the paddle was hard as well! 😉 Haha, no it is the other way around of course! 😀
Awesome information!
Thanks Brett, I’m happy if what we did gave you some insight into these foils and maybe even made you choose easier. Cheers

Yes, sounds good. That is a killer setup! 🤙
Muy bien Rubén desde Wingfoil Costa Dorada 😎
Ruben is the man! Hope all is well Dan!

@Elninosurfcenter No!

Hang on and I’ll let him tell you. But as far as I know, I have only seen him with the same paddle last months.

despite what he says the 1401 looked way way easier and effortless to pump

@wingfoil_mallorca That would be amazing if you and Ruben could do that! Which fuselage and rear was he using?
@BrettWae He was on the standard fuse and the skinny 365/50 rear wing. A good combo.

@@wingfoil_mallorca was short
How much does he weigh?
He weighs 72kg.
@@wingfoil_mallorca 🤣 Yea I where 77kg when I started windsurfing not anymore. 🤣 87 kg today 92.5 kg with gear.
@alfskaar489 Jajaja..that’s what we all struggle with! 👌😂 There are only 2 solutions. Bigger gear or salad for a year or two. Puh!
