Damn, I've been looking for a 45 angle Gimbal that does not show miro jitters. Your footage is really smooth (I could not notice a bump), did you stabilize it in post or is it straight out of the camera?
Very impressive. Maybe a gimic feature but does it do the 360 spin/barel roll stuff?

I can admit it also runs fine using a FS5, only have to remove the top handle and put the monitor to the side. A high camera (i.e with to handle) can cause issues during calibration.

The screw that comes with it seems too short and I just can't mount it.

Great review. However, can you start and stop recording via a cable from the gimbal itself? Or do you need to attach Tilta right hand grip with the record button?

Thanks for the review, I've been waiting for something like this to come out, I'd hope to alternate between handholding the gimbal, and resting while using it on a monopod for pan/tilt/jib shots. Does that sound feasible to you?

Sigma 18-35 1.8 Lens - 2.45lbs
So how long can you hold a 10.5lb load away from your body without shakes?
Big Little Films it’s not easy on your arms unless you are super ripped lol. I think it would be better with dual handles that’s for sure.
do you get a horizon level problem with the gimbal? I notice it's not perfectly level and it's off by quite a bit when I use it on my a7s2...

thanks for the video ! I have the tilta with a c100 - it helds when being in normal position but not when being in diagonal - any tips ? I also could see that you have a longer screw to hold the camera from the top. the one given in the box wasn't long enough ? would you know how to get a longer one like yours ? looking forward to your answer - thank you very much
Question, mine would turn off randomly. My best guess is that it may not be balanced properly. Have u ran into the gimbal automatically shuts off?
So awesome! Does it include a trigger for start and stopping recording on the camera? I don't see this feature listed on their website so I am assuming probably not.

Nice video! Question, can you go underslug or “briefcase” mode with the motor in the front?
Did you try to mount the included plate on a manfrotto tripod? I found it impossible to use this plate on a Manfrotto ballhead with standard 501 base... The plate is a bit different then a standard manfrotto plate - it has different blocking mechanism and is a bit thinner.
Great setup, have you tried calibrating it the other way with the grip and the LCD on camera ? It would be the ultimate run'n'gun setup when you need to quickly go to slider, tripod, etc.
Vladimir Talijan I never tried it with the screen on the camera. Might be pushing it for balance.
I shot a wedding with a gh5 and sigma 18-35 and a zhyun crane, I was broken after that.. this must be so heavy! I prefer hand held, gimbals are great but it gets old setting them up each time.
Do you like better: the Moza or the Tilta better? Or Zhiyun?

Hi Mate I use same setup with yours . just wonder how u deal sigma focusing noise . I use NTG 4 but all audio are totally useless with lens focusing noise . thanks
I got Gravity G2x and I put a7iii with 28mm lens, not even close to 1,5kg but it says that can handle 3,5 kilos. I have used for a couple of times since I get it and it dont behave "normal". But lets start with latest problem that happened today. I have turned it on and after a few seconds of green led blinking it stopped and gimbal just turned off. I have tried a couple of times. Waiting for service reply and I will come back with other issues that i have found.

I purchased the G2X and the baseplate has no threads. You mention at 7:35 that yours has 1/4" 20 and "other" threads (3/8" I'd guess). So, they are selling some with a different baseplate without threads, for those interested. They say "free gift" and that gift is the baseplate. I suppose they calling it a gift so you can't complain when I comes without threads. FYI to all.
Lenny Goodman yeah the bottom plate that you lock the handle into had 1/4 20 and the larger thread so you could mount that to a tripod. That was what I was sent. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t send you the same thing? Weird

I balanced it but I can only use it in mode 2 to pan and that’s it. It is way too heavy for the other modes.

it has a 14v power out and tilta makes the power wire you need to make it work. Its' a dummy Sony battery and barrel plug to go in the g2x. They make one for the a7rii style battery, not sure about the a7riii battery though.

Hello, can I ask, if the gimbal has a mounting option (screw hole) from the bottom? Why this balancing plate, why not tripod? I am affraid, in the terrain, it can fall. You cannot mount it for example on the slider, tripod...? thank you
The bottom plate has mounting for a tripod. I mentioned it in the video but never showed it on a tripod.

Is the footage Raw or 8bit?
Isn't that motor supposed to be in the back? All the other reviews I'm watching have it in the back. That way it doesn't impede the lens.
On shorter camera setups yes. But the C200 with the 18-35 hits the back motor so have to balance it that way. It is made to work both ways.
Does the Sigma 18-35 vignette on the c200? Also do zoom lenses mess with the balance of the gimbal? Is there a zoom motor?
Thomas Hill no vignette because the c200 is super35 sensor. That’s what the sigma 18-35 is designed for. Since it’s also internal zooming the balance doesn’t chance significantly enough. But if you had something like 24-70 where the lens barrel extends you would probably have to rebalance it abit.
I'd always assumed the c200 had a whopper of a sensor...
Thomas Hill 85% of cinema cameras use super35 even RED. They just came out with a version of the 8k sensor that is full frame but most use super 35

You make me now debate on if the Ronin S is better
I just got mine today and VERY happy with everything. The only issue is the little door that opens/closes for the batteries rattles a ton when closed. I thought it was the batteries rattling inside, but it's the small hinge door. Did I get a defective unit or is this normal? The rattle is audibly loud. Anyone deal with this?
I never noticed it on my loaner unit. The actual door is rattling? I wonder if it matters on the kind of batteries? Like maybe some are thicker than others? I dont know just a thought.
I may go out and see other batteries to see if that makes a difference. The door moves on a hinge and that hinge is the one that is rattling. Checked for loose screws, but nothing seems out of whack. I've contacted Tilta so hopefully it gets resolved. Appreciate the input, Thanks.
Anybody else feel like the footage coming out with the Tilta and C200 combo is sort of shaky and not very smooth? Lots of up and down movement. Kind of disappointing actually. Waiting to see if the Ronin-S can handle a C100.
For camera's like gh5, would you recommend this over the crane 2?

Yep I only showed one clip with it in underslung mode just because it’s kind of awkward to hold like that. But basically you have to turn the gimbal off. The. position it in underslung and then turn it back on. You can’t just flip it around While it’s on like some gimbals

Nacu Films I can’t see why it wouldn’t. The c200 is pretty tall. Just using that as a reference of height.
Zed Pro Media I hope you can confirm it cos I’m keen getting one. But if can’t handle a 1dx mark ii and it would give it limitations to its movement. I would still go with Crane 2
Zed Pro Media plus you can’t go underslung shot straight away cos it will hit the camera.
Nacu Films I don’t have a 1dxii so I can’t confirm it exactly. C200 is 5.7” tall and 1dxmkii is 6.6” tall and you need to get the extension for the crane2 in order to use it.

Bachmann Manuel yes but it can’t handle this setup because the roll motor is in the way. The camera can’t balance correctly
