My husband gave me the Sound Burger for my last birthday (at my request). I'm not a big fan of black, so mine is the yellow version. I've used it very little, since I have other turntables, but when I do, I pair it with my bluetooth speaker, and it works great. Mainly, I just think it's really cool. 🙂
I bought this unit new in 1980 at a ODD LOT store (doesn’t exist anymore) and paid 19.95 for it brand new it even came with headphones- Had it in a box for years, used it once or twice. I recently sold it on EBay for over $200.00 !! I love these kids today :)
I love my Sound Burger! Now I can annoy my wife and kids with all my weird old vinyl anywhere in the house. Favourites include- a collection of steam engine sounds, a Spanish vocab record from the 60s, and a choir singing about the Highway code 😅
This thing kept itching the back of my brain and I finally wound up buying one. It's arriving tomorrow. I'm not new to records. I already have a pretty large collection and a decent listening space, so this is very much a second table for me. The idea is to get a little bit more utility out of my collection at home and let my records leave the den sometimes, not to replace my real table or have a truly portable record player. This should let me listen to an album while making dinner, in the home office, in the workshop, in the yard, on the patio, feeding the baby, etc. Just plunk it down, pair it with whatever speakers are handy and we're good to go. I don't expect to take it on a jog or do any super critical listening with it, there are other better tools for those use cases, but for allowing more use of my records around the house it seems absolutely perfect.
Hi, today I took delivery of a sound burger, loving it. Decided to go with white. The overall quality is good and it looks well put together. Now playing my new Quo album that came today. All this because I seen your video. Love your videos so keep them coming.
I really enjoy mine, I went with the yellow. I don’t have any complaints about the product itself, however I really wish it had came with a travel case or even a bag. I mean it’s kind of marketed as a take anywhere product, why not include this item? Puzzling. Fun product I really like it.
I have the yellow Sound Burger and a limited edition pink CT1 CT1 was about 3 X more expensive than the Sound Burger, but the Sound Burger trashed the CT1 and the customer care make the CT1 team come across ignorant! My advice, don't waste your cash on a CT1 as the Sound Burger is the better buy and more durable
Like he said, no built-in speakers. Your speakers or headphones are highly likely to sound far better than the internal speakers in something like a Crosley, not to mention this turntable has the same magnetic cartridge as an Audio Technica AT-LP60, which also works with external speakers. This unit will likely sound pretty much exactly like the AT-LP60 and it’s competitors.
For me it was between this and a Revolution Go for a portable. Went with the Victrola, just seemed a lot more versatile and compact size wasn't a big factor for me. Love this tho.
I think that’s a very fair decision… Especially because the revolution go has built-in speakers! Other than that it’s the exact same cartridge so you’re getting the same sound quality
I have a question. I’m new to collecting records. If the arm reaches the end and say I’m not near it to immediately remove it, would my needle and record get damaged? Just wondering if I could use the bathroom near the end of a record 😭
It's a really nice little turntable, Mr. Ology, it looks like the exact same model that Crossley had called revolution about a decade back exact same except for the Bluetooth and audio technica cartridge. The Crosley one was priced back then at about $90. I feel this one's a little overpriced nonetheless very nice.
Hi I subscribed to your channel on my other account but on one of my 45s it keeps playing the same part over and over again and it’s clean what should I do
I have honestly never seen one of these in actual operation before and I am 52. With that being said, I always thought that those record players had a cartridge that stayed internal and was guided on a track or something, never realizing that there was a whole tone-arm that came out the side. That just makes it seem even more like junk tech
Have one and also a cr one portable . Waste of money , wobbly arm , anti skaitng not adjusted , speed changes with temperature. Cr one cost double ,but full aluminium and glass with a padded transport case , adjusted anti skating , line out , headphones out, Bluetooth, and stroboscopic speed regulation, batteries changable too with 16 hours of use. And no useless and annoying lid who has no function whatsoever . Same cartridge but far better soundquality due to stronger build and better adjusted tonearm ,who doesnt wobble and volume control on the player. Oh and no screw needed for transport , that could have been improved without any problems. And let the lid open , far far easier to put the arm on , and doesn’t lock anything since its a half centimeter over the axel
Glad to see you finally review the Sound Burger. These are so tempting to pick up and I don't even need one.
YES😂
I have one and I love it. It won't replace my home turntable (Fluance RT85), but it's fun for pop-up LP spinning.
Oh really? Each being has own drawbacks. I may pick that burger first as it is believed disc is more important than that bulky thing.
@@chuheihkg Yes, really. Thanks for your not-so- helpful comments.
Techmoan (Matt) would be proud
Lol
Matt is the guy 😂

music wasn't odd, music was amazing, thank you!
Very in depth review thank you!!!

You will be quite happy with it!
Love mine. Got a black one too! Great for my bluetooth headphones.
Nice turntable👍🏼!17:50 what is the name of the music, please? Thank you!

Awesome! Thank you for the kind words....enjoy your new SoundBurger!
So there's no adjustment for tracking force? That's a rather important feature.
Well once I get mine I'm going to hook it up to my 80s Panasonic RX-CW26 boom box as it has a line input.

Good point!
On Amazon there are cases for the Sound Burger sold by Casematix for $30.

If you car has Bluetooth, pair it and play a record through it.
Palling to order one in the next couple of days but really can’t choose which colour is best! I was gonna get yellow but that black looks really pro
Interesting. That seems like a good space saving alternative to a standard record player. How does it sound better than a cruiser tho?

Works well...
@@Recordology awesome, thanks, I was hoping it was good, glad it is. 😁

I love the Jambo House!
Wonderful place!
Gongratz 😃👍 I’m very happy for you. I also want’t a Sound Burger 😃👍👍
Can you run it just plugged in the wall without the battery in?
Interesting idea....might have to try that.
I have a question. I’m new to collecting records. If the arm reaches the end and say I’m not near it to immediately remove it, would my needle and record get damaged? Just wondering if I could use the bathroom near the end of a record 😭
Where can i buy this sound burger ?
those raritie track are actually really good, are you a dj?
Only in my mind lol. Thank you though!
This guy should have been a teacher.
Great review.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Pre Bluetooth, lol, that unit was from 2010, Bluetooth was introduced in 1998.
Well ya but I meant pre-Bluetooth consumer audio. In 2010, it was still the domain of wireless headsets.
Im going to rip so many records with this and my H2n

I don’t know if you saw the later part of the video, but I compared the two side-by-side… Both of them are cool!

Have you tried pushing down the lift shelf? We did a couple videos on how to fix record skipping you may want to check out.
@@Recordologyhi I just saw that you replied what is a lift shelf and what 45 covers and 45 case do you recommend
Are you using a different mic? your voice sounds very different.
Getting over a cold….my voice is shot.

This is actually a very capable little unit.
I hope that you’re able to find a Sony Flamingo someday! Peace.
looks yummy
