Since it has Bluetooth, how does it sound on Bluetooth headphones? That way you avoid any rumble from the speakers. Another option would be to try it with active speakers though you may not have a pair. Inexpensive isolation feet is another option. Iso acoustics would cost more than the turntable
Gotta have fun! Thanks for the review. I bought a suitcase record player just for fun. I don’t use it much now, but it was the well worth the $30 (Amazon Warehouse). It’s sits on a shelf in my music room. I am really tempted to get a Sound Burger, the yellow one looks cool.
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog I got lucky. By chance, I googled Sound Burger and Urban Outfitter had a yellow one and I ordered it on their website. It actually sounds decent playing through my secondary system or Bose QC15 fitted with a Bluetooth adaptor. It’s very convenient. Sitting on a table next to my recliner, I don’t have to get up to flip the record! Thanks again for the review!
I took the graphic from a Rega and modified it somewhat to be not so recognizable. I'll probably switch out center graphics as I go! Thank for watching!

I just purchased a blk one n it’s really great. It sounds really good n now I can listen to my story telling records. I’m like a kid I love the old story records. I love listening to Gremlins a five 45” record collection. I love vinyl 🎵
Back in the 80es I was a Technics child, worked my bum off during summer as a teenager to be able to afford some of their better and respectable pieces like an infamous stereo amp SU-VX900, SL-PS840 higher-class CD player, venerable SL-1200MKII turntable and the top of the line reference class (back then) 3 way speakers which cost more than the rest of the system, cannot remember the model number, sorry. Good to see you here - came here after I watched Cheap Audio Man's announcement - looking forward to it, mate. Greetings from New Zealand.
Similar journey here...my difference was the amp, I went with the reference class pre-amp SU-C800U and amp SU-A900S. No one made a sexier looking (and better sounding amp system) back then, compared to Technics.
When I bought mine, I felt overjoyed. An hour went by and went back to the website and it was sold out again, so I understand your feeling upon receiving it.
I picked up one last week from Amazon... got black because they had open box one for around $180. It's great, looks and works perfectly and I trust it with all of my records. The AT3600L won't hurt any record at the tracking forcethat is rated at 3.5g. I ordered a cheap case from Aliexpress for it (didn't want to spend $99 for a case), hopefully it's okay.
Audiophile FOMO is a thing... I just ordered my AT-SB727 from Amazon Canada for $279.99 Cdn. Thanks Bob now watching you is costing me more money than Randy or Darko's do. LOL Actually just picked up some used bin vinyls of The Who - Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy and 2 KISS solo albums for Peter Criss and Ace Frehley all for $15Cdn each. Covers are rough but the vinyl looks good inside. Thanks for another cool vid.
Audio Technica is a great company. I don't think they ever make a bad product. Consistent and always great value for money. I have owned many of their products over the years; mostly cartridges.
OMG. I currently live in my RV and I have wanted to start collecting vinyl again. This is the perfect solution! (New sub from Cheap Audio Man). Now the hard part…finding one.
Glad to know I’m not the only one that goes crazy and feels like throwing my money at the product when the words “Limited Edition“ appear. Yay your in Texas! I love Texas! Born and raised in Galveston here. Best regards. Cheap audio man sent me here.
Can you plug into your receiver and play on your big system? When I first got on eBay, I found a purple one and I think called Mister Sound for under $100. in mint condition. Back when they were rare in the USA and many didn’t even know they existed. Sadly I got it stolen in my storage and my other vintage Japanese electronics. It was kind of rare even in the 80’s and I only 2 ppl. with one. The first one was someone listening to records with it at a record store But I still have 2 uptight Mitsubishi liner turntable with the glass door. Oh and I love the vintage Sony mini portable that’s stand upright. Also, the reason you didn’t see many of these gadgets back then was these were the toys of the rich and expensive for most ppl. Like the original Sony Walkman was like $160. and many waited until the cheaper plastic versions came out to get one.
So does this have headphone jack as well or only Bluetooth available? Curious since I’m looking into purchasing one to take when I dig for records and I’m not interested in Bluetooth
In 1990 I bought a Pioneer A400, an Aiwa CD player and JBL TLX speakers. The sound was fantastic but I took them to the dump in about 2000. I wish I had got the dodgy connection on the amp fixed and the speaker baffles redone. I did buy a second hand A400 from ebay but only one channel worked.
Nicely done, Bob. (I thought this was a gimmick when I saw it ...at Urban Outfitters on the Drag.) Your logo? Epic. New subscriber. (I'm an analog guy, too.) Congrats on the channel.
I had one of these back in the day. It was actually stolen out of my home back in the early 90s. Out of all that was stolen, I think that I was most upset about losing this little treasure. By the way, I was referred by CAM.😁
Mine lasted 1/2 an LP, turned it over and couldn't find the groove and just slid along tried 4 other LPs and tonearm just slid across each time. All worked fine on other Project and other Audio Technica. Might just be 1 bad apple though as not seen any other bad experiences. Sadly none left for replacement so getting a refund. Loved it whilst it worked though.
Curious to know where you find your "bargain bin" records? They look much cleaner and in much better condition than anything I can usually find at a higher price.
@@BobFonseca I've got a couple of 1/2 price books near me, if you time it right, you may get some good finds when they have someone that's sold a collection. I recently found a SuperTramp Even in the Quietest Moments that is pristine and sounds as good as a MFSL copy of Crime of the Century I have.
My first record player was also a portable battery operated machine. It was made by Philips and the lid housed the speaker which was able to be stood separately from the deck and had a fairly long wire. This is when I discovered that if I backed the speaker up to my bed the under bed acted as a bass booster which started out my whole interest in playing with speakers when I was about 12 years old in the early 70’s. My first cassette player was a little mono player made by binatone. Yep, for sure these players used to give me chills of excitement when I listened to abba and the Shadows🤣🤣🤣 even though they didn’t come close sonically to any of my systems now.
@@BobFonseca I actually tried holding the internal condenser mic in front of the tv to try and tape “top of the pops” on bbc and trying to get everyone in the room to be quiet🤣
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog All “the serious musoes” preferred the Old Grey Whistle Test”🤣🤣🤣. I suppose now the nearest thing is the Jools Holland program (is that still a thing other than the Hootananey on New Years Eve?)
Hell I didn't get a Minibike or Go-cart> LOL!!! As a kid all I had was a transistor radio, AM of course in the 60s. I discovered Hi Fi in 73 when I joined the air Force. My first room mate had when I went PCS had brought back Sansui equipment with that furniture looking speakers they sold. I got bit from that but all I could afford on my E2 pay was an 18watt per channel receiver, SP1700 speakers and Technics turntable. It wasn't going to blow out the windows but it did sound good.
I'm a military brat and I started my audiophile journey in the early 70s at Lakenheath England. The base had a hobby shop- slot car track and audio equipment! Tons of Sansui and Bose 901s
Great to see another unpretentious hi-fi channel hit the RUclipss! The more the merrier! Y'know what I would love to see come back? Something in the mold of Realistic hi-fi gear. A whole range of inexpensive stuff that actually performs quite well. Sure, we're getting some great stuff for lower price points from various brands today, but Radio Shack really knew what they were doing in building that brand with all kinds of options. I still have a pair of Minimus 25's that I grew up with. Not the richest-sounding speakers in the world, but EQ them properly and they get the job done. And the system they were originally bought for lasted from about 1984 to 1990 with daily use of pretty much all the components: a discrete AM/FM tuner, dual tape deck, a pre-amp with three-band tone controls, a power amp... and, of course, a turntable that lasted longer than any of the rest of the components (we kept using it for several years more with the new bookshelf system that replaced the other components). This was all stuff that my father bought on his just-out-of-college, two-years-married-with-a-child-on-the-way budget. He also bought larger floor speakers somewhere, which I experienced the Realistic system through moreso than the Minimus set, which I'm sure he wouldn't have been able to do had the system not been so affordable. My very first DJ demo tape was made on that system. Not many kids get to experience that kind of thing these days. How many future generations are missing out because we don't have something similar today?
I miss looking at gear in department stores and stere stores. I sold hifi in the summers during college! "A Dyer deal is a stereo steal!" Christopher Cross did their jingle! I miss the 70's
Does anybody know Is this possible to wall mount? Been really interested in getting one of these. Dont have space for a dedicated turn table at the moment but something i can pull out and set up with my PC speakers like this sounds really tempting.
I run an Ultradeck at home, but I've gotta say, the other night I kicked back on the couch with a Sound Burger, a couple records, some headphones, and a glass of whiskey while my wife was watching TV on the main system...it was not a bad evening at all.
Nice video! I subscribed. Norelco is actually Philips (electronics of the Netherlands), the brand (North American Philips [electrical] Company) was set up because in the US at that time a brand Philco existed so Philips was not allowed. Later that was corrected, Philips simply bought Philco and kept the Norelco brand mainly for shavers. Magnavox was also purchased and used as an audio brand. Later Philips decided to go again with the Philips brand, also for Hifi. Philips had some really good offerings and popularity in Europe and the rest of the world but was unable to compete with the Japanese powers in the US. In the Eighties Philips bought the majority stake in Marantz. Childhood story: I played in the boxes that my dad's HPM100 came in. And I still own them now, together with one CD101 player by Philips. The day this player came into the family, grandma/dad were sitting the couch. Dad connected the Philips CD101 cd player to his quite capable Technics SA-500 receiver paired with the HPM100s. The was us in early 1980's the Netherlands, happy with that US Airforce PX where we had friends. Anyway, the CD player was connected, a Dire Straits CD was spinning, no sound... Dad was nervously looking for the reason, little me was hovering around him. Then my eye fell on the tape-monitoring switch, so I reached and clicked the lever to the middel position. As struck by lightning, "So Far Away" filled our living room, my grandparents jumped about a meter into the air. Yes, that's the whole 3 feet 😁 Unforgetable clear music, this I will never, ever forget... Great channel, keep it up! Maybe I'll stay and tell you some stories about many more great Philips stuff that I have collected over the years.
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog A Philips CD player? Also the 101? nice! Just picked a Philips reel-2-reel up recently, waiting in line for renovation, should just be a belt exchange and a good clean, likely some pots and contacts need some TLC. Prob the electrolytes are ok, I'm not a big "just recap" believer. If it ain't broke...
So, you would modify your gear too? OK, I tell you, that´s the greatest fun at all with the gear at all! And it is quite affordable too. Last year, I bought an Yamaha RX300 Receiver as birthday gift for a friend of mine, and since we had 2022, I thought: This must have Bluetooth! INTEGRATED! And so is did. Opened the case, screwed in an assembly for Bluetooth and an assembly for 5Volt, drilled a few holes in the back, in order to get out the RCA-Cable to the "TV Port", Put all together, and after 3 Hours the Receiver had built in Bluetooth even with a fancy Antenna sticking up from the back! Total Cost: CA. 4 Hours with all the cutting and drilling and soldering, (I am slow, I am old lol A young healthy guy can do this in 2 Hours easily!) And Energy source + Bluetooth assembly: about 25€ on Amazon. 1 Euro for a Bluetooth logo-Sticker I added to the Front Switch! Next thing I do will be an Arylic- Streamer Assembly built into my Philips AH686 Receiver (Big silver Case, 2x90Watts to 8Ohm, built about 1978) A really beautiful old machine with great sound! Then this old gear will have built in Amazon Music, Spotify etc. + Bluetooth, W-Lan, and after that ll change the Potentiometer to a Remote Potentiometer Assembly. Cost: 50,- for the Streamer, 30,- Euro for the Remote Infrared Poti, 25,- For the energy source. Cost In total € 105,- FUN Factor: Priceless! May it be one day of work for me, but after this, my old gear will be ready for the next 45 Years, maybe recapping will be required in a few years. But I will see! By the way, the Philips receiver was a steal, not a deal! I only paid €120,- incl. shipping! And the Receiver is in mint Quality...But if anyone pays €200,- for this model, it is still a good price! That all said: It is fun, affordable, and for people with "that hole" in the heart (No Dirt Bike, or E-Piano like me ) to fill, it´s a nice sense of achievement! 😉😉
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog You`ll never know unless you try! And don´t underestimate yourself! You must know: I don´t have feeling in my right hand due to a damage in the upper spine, and both my hands are trembeling due to my medication. When I solder stuff, I have to wear TWO sets of Glasses to see enough...Worst of all: I cannot sit longer than 30min on a chair. My lower Back hurts so much, I could die. I am on Fentanyl heavy dosis... So, I I can do it, YOU can do it too. I am sure of that! You just need to think about if you want to do it, or better find someone that does it for you. Also, I must admit, some mods or builds needed their time. For Example, when I built my JBL 4341s Clones, I was almost done with the Cabinets, and I decided the design of the surface would be a nice textured beige vegan leather. So I started the process and cut the leather first - only to be hospilatised afterwards for 3 Weeks with Covid! And when I came back, first I was happy to be able to continue the build, because for me, 3 Weeks in the hospital was killing boring! lol. But: I was SOOOO weak after the illness, I cannot describe it! It took me 3 month to be able to do things as before - bring out the trash for example. This was a real heavy challenge to me! Remember: Damaged Spine to a grade to having numb legs and being retired at 50yrs old, living in constant pain due to this. Being on Fentanyl 150microg/Hour and trembling due to this... And fresh from the hospital after hefty covid /pneumonia, weak like a single photon in space... But I was so determined to see my completed Speakers, I could not resist to finish them within a month after I came home. And they are heavy, man! really heavy! They weigh in 73kgs that's 161lbs... per piece lol... But, I still am very happy with my speakers! Nothing compares to this kind of satisfaction. And, if I can do it... 😉😉 Next project i`ll try: Write shorter answers, and not be carried away everytime lol! Bytheway: I saw a T-shirt the other day, written on it with big letters: DANGER! I AM RETIRED! I KNOW EVERYTHING! I CAN DO EVERYTHING! AND I HAVE THE WHOLE DAY OF TIME TO TALK ABOUT IT! 😆😆

Amazing what can happen with 1 person vouching for you.. 1 video and this channel automatically has more subs than my channel even though I've posted 74 videos over for 4 years.
.. Kudos to having someone out there praising and raising your signal! Enjoy the ride!
I also have a base of radio fans to draw from. But Randy was so gracious to give me a numb. We have a mutual admiration society! He is the king!
Hopped on over to sub and like. Randy sent me. ;-) Curious as to why the Sound Burger is so popular.
Since it has Bluetooth, how does it sound on Bluetooth headphones? That way you avoid any rumble from the speakers. Another option would be to try it with active speakers though you may not have a pair. Inexpensive isolation feet is another option. Iso acoustics would cost more than the turntable
Good point. I have some Klipsch Fives for the TV in the living room! Good suggestions. My ATH-50x with a fitted BT receiver sounded really good!
Yellow is hard to score!
Cheap Audio Man sent me. Hi and good luck with your new channel.
Appreciate you!
I got mine last night at guitar center I’m so excited to try it.
I've been modding mine slightly ... video soon!
The silhouette of the tonearm in your logo: Is that tonearm a Linn Ittok (or Ekos)? I recognized that immediately after living with one for 35 years..
I took the graphic from a Rega and modified it somewhat to be not so recognizable. I'll probably switch out center graphics as I go! Thank for watching!
Great video Bob! Just subscribed on cheapaudioman’s recommedation! And I feel your pain…My parents never bought me that drum set I wanted. 😂
Thanks for the sub! Fill that hole with some new gear!
The horror... the horror! Hang in on there!
I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer
To find the Sound Burger player which way do I steer?
I just purchased a blk one n it’s really great. It sounds really good n now I can listen to my story telling records. I’m like a kid I love the old story records. I love listening to Gremlins a five 45” record collection. I love vinyl 🎵
That's so cool! What is a story-telling record? I want one!
A little tough finding this channel. Needed the exact title
Glad you made it!
This guy rocks, I'm excited to see where this goes.
Hopefully to the top!!!
i'm gonna lurk here too just like i do on other audiophile channels
I'm international now!!! Thanks for watching!
@@babolababs4732 I have SU-G700 Technics amp upstairs... one of my favorite things!
Thanks for sharing. I just got me one.
When I bought mine, I felt overjoyed. An hour went by and went back to the website and it was sold out again, so I understand your feeling upon receiving it.
I feel special!!! So should you! Thanks for watching!
Link to Aliexpress please 😄 Thanks
Audiophile FOMO is a thing...
I just ordered my AT-SB727 from Amazon Canada for $279.99 Cdn.
Thanks Bob now watching you is costing me more money than Randy or Darko's do. LOL
Actually just picked up some used bin vinyls of The Who - Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy and 2 KISS solo albums for Peter Criss and Ace Frehley all for $15Cdn each. Covers are rough but the vinyl looks good inside.
Thanks for another cool vid.
Audio Technica is a great company. I don't think they ever make a bad product. Consistent and always great value for money. I have owned many of their products over the years; mostly cartridges.
As a radio host by trade, A-T is always at my fingertips! I rotate 2 pairs of A-T headphones for daily use!
Bob! Love it
Thanks for the push, CAM! You are a prince among men! My next vid is the making of my Jazz Kissa room! Spoiler alert!!!
Looking forward to more videos. This video was good.
This model is definitely not limited. Black, white, and yellow are common. Good luck with red :)
OMG. I currently live in my RV and I have wanted to start collecting vinyl again. This is the perfect solution! (New sub from Cheap Audio Man). Now the hard part…finding one.
Hey, Man! Thanks! Happy I could turn you on to something cool!
Thanks Cheapaudioman recommendation.
Thanks for watching, Liam!!!
Well Bob, the longest place I've ever lived was in Amarillo, 21 years and I put Mayo on my burger. Maybe it's because I'm from North Carolina.
I forgive you!
Lurker...reporting for duty, sir. (Directed here from CAM)
Streetcore on vinyl! nice.
Ha ha I noticed too and was gonna comment the same 😁👍
Glad to know I’m not the only one that goes crazy and feels like throwing my money at the product when the words “Limited Edition“ appear.
Yay your in Texas! I love Texas! Born and raised in Galveston here. Best regards. Cheap audio man sent me here.
Retail therapy is the best therapy in my book!!!!
CAM is a prince among men!!!!
Great video! Cheapaudio Man is a good friend
The best... we had a nice chat tonight!
Nice way to lead off your channel. Subscribed.
Really appreciate you. New video coming today
It was kind of rare even in the 80’s and I only 2 ppl. with one. The first one was someone listening to records with it at a record store
But I still have 2 uptight Mitsubishi liner turntable with the glass door.
Not sure if this is a "hifi" device... but yes there is a mini-Jack line out.
How does it compare to audio-techica lp60x bt for example? Quality-wise
Subbed. Good luck with the new channel.
Appreciate you!
Randy sent me, subscribed....
Subscribed. Hat tip, Randy.
God job on your first vid Bob. Look forward to future reviews. 👍 #cheapaudioman
Thanks for the sub! I'll be back soon!
They're coming!
I like your style of review.
I appreciate that!
So does this have headphone jack as well or only Bluetooth available? Curious since I’m looking into purchasing one to take when I dig for records and I’m not interested in Bluetooth
100% Texas born and raised mayo burger eating fool here! Came here from #cheapaudioman, nice debut video sir!
I'm going to do a whole video on audio regerts soon!
Nicely done, Bob. (I thought this was a gimmick when I saw it ...at Urban Outfitters on the Drag.) Your logo? Epic. New subscriber. (I'm an analog guy, too.) Congrats on the channel.
Thanks! Come for the logo, stay for the reviews!
I had one of these back in the day. It was actually stolen out of my home back in the early 90s. Out of all that was stolen, I think that I was most upset about losing this little treasure. By the way, I was referred by CAM.😁
CAM is the Man! So generous! Sorry for your loss!
White Onion slices may work?
Mine lasted 1/2 an LP, turned it over and couldn't find the groove and just slid along tried 4 other LPs and tonearm just slid across each time. All worked fine on other Project and other Audio Technica. Might just be 1 bad apple though as not seen any other bad experiences. Sadly none left for replacement so getting a refund. Loved it whilst it worked though.
Sounds like the stylus was bad or non-existent!!! Shame! I hope you found something else to play with!
Curious to know where you find your "bargain bin" records? They look much cleaner and in much better condition than anything I can usually find at a higher price.
A lot of them were bought some time ago before the rebirth of vinyl! Half-Price Books in Texas
Looking forward to your content.
Thanks, Amigo!
Nice! The turntable reminds me of the old Close & Play they had back in the day . . .am I dating myself ?? 🤣🤣👍🏽
You may want to get some sound absorbers to tame that room echo.
Was going to say. Nothing to complain about in this fun and informative review except for the echo... echo... cho.. 🙂
how is the battery life?
Holy Edits Batman! Do you need that many cuts?
All the kids are doing it! Do you watch RUclips!?😃I think I used discretion! Appreciate your feedback'
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog Just giving you a hard time Bob. Loved the video.
Did you record your records to the tape machine with a mic! I did when the house was quiet!
@@BobFonseca I actually tried holding the internal condenser mic in front of the tv to try and tape “top of the pops” on bbc and trying to get everyone in the room to be quiet🤣
I lived in England for 8 years! Watched a lot of TOP but preferred OGWT!!! Alice Cooper was insane on it!
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog All “the serious musoes” preferred the Old Grey Whistle Test”🤣🤣🤣. I suppose now the nearest thing is the Jools Holland program (is that still a thing other than the Hootananey on New Years Eve?)
We are from the same era and cut from the same cloth, my friend!
Hell I didn't get a Minibike or Go-cart> LOL!!! As a kid all I had was a transistor radio, AM of course in the 60s. I discovered Hi Fi in 73 when I joined the
air Force.
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog I wish I could have been sent to Japan which was on my list but low and behold they sent me back to my home state of NC.
Thank you
Does anybody know Is this possible to wall mount? Been really interested in getting one of these. Dont have space for a dedicated turn table at the moment but something i can pull out and set up with my PC speakers like this sounds really tempting.
Can’t wall mount but the Sony can.
Listening to you on KLBJ since you got there….. fuck….. now I’m here… I guess you’re part of my life
Thanks for all the support! Don't worry, I won't give up the day job!
I won't be trading my StudioDeck for a Sound Burger but it's good to have a decent budget option.
It was more about hunting it down! I hate rejection! Love my MoFi
I get it!
I run an Ultradeck at home, but I've gotta say, the other night I kicked back on the couch with a Sound Burger, a couple records, some headphones, and a glass of whiskey while my wife was watching TV on the main system...it was not a bad evening at all.
I'm with you!
Yeah! I got it at the base exchange in England. Bought may Philips records over there!
The Bobfather is back!
You know it! Welcome aboard
Thanks, I hadn't realised they issued it again. The original reissue got to stupid prices.
Sold out again, currently!
Hello Bob. Randy sent me.
We should always follow CAM! This is the he way!
Hello Bob.
This is actually called mister disk or mister disc in USA but the sound Burger was called outside of USA
That's some baller stuff their! Your skill leave me in the dust!!!
Next project i`ll try: Write shorter answers, and not be carried away everytime lol! Bytheway: I saw a T-shirt the other day, written on it with big letters:
DANGER!
I AM RETIRED!
I KNOW EVERYTHING!
I CAN DO EVERYTHING!
AND I HAVE THE WHOLE DAY OF TIME
TO TALK ABOUT IT! 😆😆
HOLY ECHO CHAMBER!
But you're Still You! You Krazy Dude
I hear ya!
