That was really nice of them to reach out, let complete strangers into their home and get a slack pack day in. Very kind of him. It's so nice that there are trail angels out there just wanting to help their fellow man. Kudos.
Nero/Zero, and slack packing, wow what a deal... looked a lot like a gopher snake... now your talking Margaritas, yum... and playing tourist, interesting... SLEEP WELL and SAFE HIKING
Hi. I love your videos, you two are doing great. Could you look into a way to guard your mic from the wind? It gets really loud sometimes and it is hard to hear what you are saying. Thanks for sharing your adventure. All the best to you!
Hello! So Sam has sent his chair home after popping his inflatable sleeping pad and having an accordion style one so he just sits on that. Moriah is obsessed with the chair and says it’s the last thing she would send home! She tends to use it 4 or more times a day and loves it. Worth the weight for some, not for others. We have the benefit of sharing some gear, tent, stove, pot, other supplies so we save weight that way and can afford several luxury’s
@@sam.and.moriah Awesome! I think I will take mine (going next April!). Thanks so much for responding. I'm loving your videos. Happy Hiking 🥾- Julia from the UK 🇬🇧
Thanks for another chapter in epic hike. But a question. Why are you going so fast? What’s the incentive? You’re on track to enter the Sierra waaay too early….
We are in no rush really just kind of going at our pace. Enjoying every moment. The sierras will be a challenge this early but that’s what we are looking forward to! Traveling/backpacking in snow is something we luckily have a ton of experience in. Several thru hikers have actually already departed Kennedy meadows and started the sierras!
@@sam.and.moriah Ok we’ll be careful. You could get snowed on still heavily any time in Mid April to mid May. Plus river crossings are going to be a bitch - and avalanches are a very real threat prior to the end of June. Stay safe and make good decisions.
Such wonderful people helping hikers. So nice of people!!!
Following from Loon Pond Sam! Very cool!
You two need to learn to enjoy this trip!!!! Lol!!!

Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here :)
What a way to hike! I might be able to do the PCT with my bad knee and back if I could walk it w/o a pack! And margaritas every night!
Margaritas are always needed!!!
Tehachapi has some of the sweetest, most generous and fun trail angels. Lovely caring people who love PCT hikers. Cheers!!!

Did you have a place to pee anywhere? I mean for the Boys No Problem but for the Ladies?
Wow, you are really obsessed about this. If it will calm you down, you can watch her demonstrate in Episode 4 at @
I'm surprised you missed it
Awesome zero day! Love the dog! Hate windmills!!! They kill millions of birds!

Gratifying to be a trail angel!!! Kim and Abel are terrific hosts.
So great to slack pack through the Mojave. Nice to have angels to help you out like that. I’m sure your legs and feet thanked you
Hope to see you at Bird Spring Pass mile 634 on Tues or Wed.
Hiking w/o a pack makes you feel as though you could float away!
Thanks guys for a great, fun time!
Loving your journey so far. Quick question, do you regret bringing the chair or was it a good decision?
