The Toyota Trueno Sprinter (AE86) is my starter car and is a car I still have it 4 years after the game came out. After the very first race, I sold the FiT the game gave me and bought the AE86 and a few upgrades; ( 5-speed Transmission, Level 1 engine, and some sport tires.) and dominated the classes with my 86. Now she is maxed out and one of the fastest cars I have for complex courses with lots of corners, she can even hold her ground in the Nürburgring!
Thefirkman One that I kept for a long time was the '01 Honda Civic Type R. That car allowed so many upgrades before hitting 450 PP, was FF, could do the Clubman Series, Hatch class, was small enough for the Mini series, and could keep up with alot of the heavy hitters on the small courses. Starting only at 22k, then with Sport Tires, only 25k. Plus, it has the K20A engine to boot.
Very good video man and great channel! We just got a copy of GT6 in at the game store I run with my brother and I snapped it up and went through the whole what felt like half a day start and stop update process and it's been worth it so far, I got an Integra DC2 Type R a Mitsubishi GTO TT MR 95 and a Supra RZ 97 as my first three and they have very much served me well this far. 👍
HammerStudioGaming you probably are the only youtuber who still talk and replies to comments about gt6 in 2017and I find it great. Okay gt7 is coming and it's been a while since the ps4 came out. Still gt6 and ps3 are not dead. I was a big fan of the Honda Civic 1.6 vtec 92-93 since gran turismo 2 on ps one. Also a great berginners car in my opinion, good value for money, superb handling, lightweight, powerful, easily upgradable.
I used to know some pro tuner who could make a Chevy Nova faster around the track than my 458 Italia, he did the same thing with the X Runner, I thought he was hacking, because he beat my 430 scudera. He wouldn't give me his tunes but he had some tips that I used to beat a bunch of sports cars online with the X Runner

I worked hard to earn that amount of money! :D haha ! I can remember I was so addicted to the game, and played whenever I could! Now 24 years later, I found out I can play GT 6 on PC with a emulator installed. (95% installed) and almost ready to play for the first time, so I just wanted to say thanks for the video, I know now what car I want ! :D
I found the Ford (Australia) XR8 Race car to be an extremely stable vehicle to drive. The upgrades don't add much to it, but out of the box it was just...so...easy
I won the Mercedes Benz VGT when it came out almost 3 years ago and that car was my moneymaker. I also managed to buy the Ford Shelby Mustang for 55k and was the car that won me the "Like The Wind" events.
My strategy is to use the Honda you get at the beginning, grind the first race until you get about 23k credits, and buy the Camaro SS '00 and limit it's power for any 450pp races.
Ive used the Chevy El Camino since the start of GT6. Admittedly i had the million credit bonus and the 15th anniversary cars, but the El Camino was my main car. a bit on the heavy side and isnt the best at handling but it gets the job done once you change out the gearbox and reduce the weight
all i did was put the bed cover with the lip spoiler on and I was set. the car is just very unique in the way that it is an american ute that isn't from Ford. I initially chose it because of Classic Game Room's affinity towards it but it grew on me. fast.
Good too see the Caldina getting some light. Brought one on gt4 when i was teens and well i now have one as a daily. They are a very unique luxury station wagon especially in the JDM and well being a celica gt4 in disguise its a nice sleeper even on gt6
when i started i went from whatever the base car is to a c7 stingray gt special (or whatever) to a aventador... then it was all supercars, i belivw the mp412c then lfa after it

I want to get this game, but I am afraid that they are going to demolish the servers like last time with GT5. Are they going to shut down GT6 servers anytime soon? My friend could also get this game.
I had the GT4 , GT5 and the GT6. The problem of the GT4 (all in my case) was then i didn't had a memory card on PS2 -_- . The problem of the GT5 was then my internet was crap and didn't "handle the situation" . The problem of GT6 was then my PS3 sometimes can't play it (my dad had buy in a drugstore) , i'm not a lucky one
RaceProducer11 polyphony hasn't mentioned anything but I can guarantee there will be less players when GT Sport hits the PS4. If there aren't a lot of people playing GT6 because of GT Sport, then Polyphony will shut the servers down. But if GT Sport doesn't go so well than GT6 will have the servers up for a while.

I just went on a shopping spree last night which included one of my all time favorite cars when I was a kid, the E-type Jaguar. I bought it for a collector piece but when I took it for a spin at Brands Hatch I was quite surprised on how stable and really good handling the car was. Can't wait to throw in some mods and see what can be done with her. I know it's more money than your limit here, but what a sweet and unflappable chassis. It would make a great beginners car as nothing seems to upset it. I'm even thinking of seeing what she'll do off road.
How about Nissan March G♯? Yup, it's less powerful than Storia X4, but still decent power and decent weight, and importantly, the cornering ability it's just fantastic. I became a of a March because of your DARC series m8. That review just open my mind to try it out, and turn it to be one of my favorite cars.
There is only one car i buy in the beginning of gran turismo series: Mitsubishi galant vr-4. 4wd, Twinturbo, 4 Wheel steering, good handling, good tuning stats.
You race online. When you can beat the trolls in the expert races (who use the broken penalties to push you off and give you penalties) by both lapping faster than them and getting past them smartly at the same time, you'll be as good as me. I'm about mid-pack in any given expert race online. Alternatively practice by trying for 100% golds and/or pp races 50-100 below the limit. You'll find that without the power you'll eventually find better lines, and get an edge in car setup

There are hundreds of thousands still playing this game and doing seasonal events, as well as 50+ full of lobbies in american servers alone, and I was just in a very lively Nurburgring lobby today, which filled up within 10 minutes.

I did almost everything of the first 3 licences with the civic type r from 1995( premium interior). Got 31 victories on it's name. Great car!

my rx7 gt limited is great. its one of the cheapest mazdas for only about 16,000 and i tuned it a bit which got me gold in beginner races easily
