  • The Joie Savvy is an internal harness style baby carrier retailing around £105 but you can often find deals around £60-£80. It is significantly cheaper than the Nuna Cudl - which it looks a lot like - and its alot lighter and nicer feeling too. And easier to use. BUT the fit isn't amazing, in particular, I couldn't get the top part of the carrier tight enough and so I'd be really worried about the risk of a real baby slumping inside and being at risk for suffocation.
It does offer a wonderful outward facing positioning, but is a carrier that works best only between 5 and 10 months (maybe to 1 year), that really only does one position well really worth £105. In my opinion no.
You'd still be much better off getting a Ergobaby Omni Breeze, or a Tula Explore that would last you twice as long, give you so many more options for carrying in different positions and give a closer fit that would protect your back too.

Thank you for the detailed video! I don't understand why it's not good to use it after 10 months. Parents start using backward facing again?

Because babies weight pulls away, outward facing puts the most strain on parents back and often gets too heavy from 10 months onwards. And often as baby can get their arms out they are happier inward facing. Plus usually you can back carry which is a more comfortable alternative for parent and baby. Why didn't you use the New born features (especially the head support, that can be raised and fasten to hold the baby's head)?

Oh great question! You can find the full answer linked below but in short covering a newborns head with a stiff panel is actually really quite dangerous. Those things are not head supports but extenders for older children! Full indepth answer here sheenslings.com/2021/03/19/how-to-support-babys-head-in-a-buckle-carrier/

I think the Joie is better but honestly neither are great and I wouldn't recommend either... as I say in the video toward the end if you watch all the way through 😉
