Kids today will probably never understand what a baller Tony Parker was. As a lakers fan in the 2000s I hated this dude cuz he was always killing us, but I have nothing but the utmost respect for him and the entire spurs dynasty. What an incredible rivalry.
You hated him I hated the whole spurs team as a lakers fan also but you have to respect that spurs team but I hated Bruce bowen the most😂😂lakers 4 life💜💛💜💛
The one thing I will say, it's very very nice that Gregg Poppovich is still here with us and was able to see Tim Duncan, Manu Ginoboli, and Tony Parker all retire and enter the Hall Of Fame. His Big 3 that brought him multiple titles and he gets to see them be bestowed the greatest honor in basketball.
Don't forget about David Robinson the Spurs culture more or less started with him he was there for 2 championship's! David and Tim were almost unstoppable together the twin towers and you know it's a crying shame how much the nba has changed and went away from the traditional big man, now you have 7 footers trying to play PG and hanging out at the three point line like KD and Wemby and Jokic! I like the 80's and 90's and 2000's NBA after that I think it's more or less gone down hill!!
@NoName-cn3cp nah Lakers have had Championships multiple times since i was born unlike cowboys Kobe gave us 4 rings and LeBron 1. Don't compare us to the cowboys.
As a laker fan, thank you for all the amazing years of constantly battling LA for a decade. You guys built the team correctly and Parker was one hell of a point guard.
As a Lakers fan myself, I totally agree with you on this bro, I'm also a Lakers fan from, and still here in San Antonio. Lol 45 years old, I've been a fan since the showtime Lakers as a kid.
I still remembered TP's underhand finger roll, tripped and almost fell down and yet, still made the shot and the free throw, against the miami in the finals. Truly amazing player and a well deserved HOF career ❤
Damn the way Tony's career developed into a HoF career is pretty remarkable. Damn as a Lakers fan, this dude was a menace to go up against. Huge congrats Tony! certified legend!

It's awesome to watch Tony being inducted into the HOF. I remember watching him for the first time in May of 2002 in Seattle when he scored 23 points. He was just a rookie.
Something I will never forget is watching the 2007 nba finals as a teenager and seeing a 25 year old tony Parker when I honestly thought he looked 59 years old in those finals. And to this day he looks the exact same 16 years later so at 41 now he still looks 59.

Tony Parker is one of the most underrated PGs in NBA history. I truly believe if Tony played for another team instead of the Spurs, he'd be the leader and 1st option, had better stats and more All-star appearances, and would probably be recognized as a top 10 PG in NBA history. But he chose to instead play for the Spurs for the most of his career, a team where sacrifice and team play are prioritized over individual play, especially as the main PG of the team. Not a lot of players would be willing to be in this role for almost his entire career, but Tony fitted this role perfectly and helped us won 4 championships. For that, he will forever be a Spurs legend and one of the greatest PGs to ever play this game. Thank you TP9!
He most likely doesn’t win a finals mvp however if he played on another team at best he wins a. Ring as a role player. Tony situation in SA worked out for the best
One of the best HOF Speeches. Filled with humor, appreciation and grace. Very happy to see TP go into the HOF. Without his contribution San Antonio might not be as successful as they are. Well deserved.
Wow, so much ease with the spotlight. He was like a comedian out there almost, with his delivery and timing. Which he was great at in his game as well: delivery, and timing.
Been a real nice run down memory lane over the last few years with the Hall as a Spurs fan. I moved to San Antonio in 2003 from Florida and was amazed to find out that I could watch a Spurs game live for like $12. They were right down the road and I was a hoops junkie, so watching them was a no brainer. I knew Tim was great, but I went to all the big games, and he was just better than everyone else. Which is why he won MVP. Didn't know anything about Tony, but it was clear he could ball and that sweet little floater in the lane was unstoppable. OG David Robinson and this young buck Manu, who I had watched in a national game and had my eye on. He had this crazy way of attacking the paint(euro step) and was so exciting to watch. Even good old Steve Kerr hitting 3's when it mattered most. Truly magical season I'll never forget. Congratulations Tony, you deserve it! Go Spurs Go!
A very heart-felt, well-made speech. I got a smile plastered on my face while listening to Tony's story. Tony's truly one of the best point guards ever.
I’ll never forget going to three spurs mavs games in the mid 2000’s just how good Parker was, to see it in tv was one thing but to watch the smallest guy on the court dominate in person was different, congrats Parker and much deserved
I love how stoic his oldest child is and he just casually puts his hand up to acknowledge what his dad just said. That was legendary. Wouldn't be surprised how successful he's going to be
Parker LIVED in the paint. People just don’t know. He was the most fearless point guard I have ever seen. The upmost insult that he is not in the top 75. FOUR time champion 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆
As someone that was born in San Antonio and grew up in Seattle to see how 3 of my 4(Tony, Timmy and Gary Payton. The Admiral being my favorite of all time) favorite players of all time are interconnected was pretty cool to know that TP doing his thing against GP made TD respect TP. Go Spurs Go!
Something just hit me about this HOF class---Pau won it all in 2009 & 2010, Dirk in 2011, Wade in 2012 & 2013 & Parker (Pop) in 2014 (6 years straight).
Year after year, this man was in the discussion for MVP & it’s a shame that he never won one (same w/ D-Wade). This speech, much like Tony Parker’s game himself, was very clean, simple, direct, contained, streamlined & effective. That dynasty was never much for talking, so it’s incredible to see them all together delivering their speeches after all these years. R.I.P. Kobe, Jerry & Erin, the rivalry between the Spurs & Lakers was storied & the Spurs are easily one of the most underrated organizations you’ll find. I’ve been saying it for years, TP should’ve made the Top 75, a man w/ multiple titles & all star appearances earned his rights.
Had no idea Tony Parker was so funny. Congratulations my Dear. My favorite NBA Team the Spurs until Tim Duncan retired. We had a great run. Three most low key players no fanfare their games spoke for them. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
