Clay only cared about his arse. He lost control in season 4 with the letters and getting involved with the cartel. Should have kept with the Irish only and be "set for life" as per his own words. But it wouldn't be soa without the drama ;)
No way. Breaking Bad season 3, and 4, and 5a finales are all better. Justified series finale is too. Boardwalk Empire season 4 finale, Game of Thrones season 6 finale, Sopranos season 2 and 5 finales, the Wire season 3 and 4 finales, Six Feet Under series finale....all better.
At the end of the last scene while their all in the truck, everyone across from Jax is bent down, almost as if bowing to Jax, the new king. It's a pretty symbolic sequence of events that just shows how well this show was written. Quite possibly the best scene in TV history.
"it's better to burn out than fade away" this sentence has so much power and you can always relate it to the real life Thank you Kurt Sutter for this masterpiece. SoA is my all time favorite
I literally thought the next season would be about the club being in prison and Jax having to survive against them for ratting…then this scene happened 😂
The transition from Jax to John when they were “reading” their letters was so emotionally driven. The guitar in the background, JT telling his story more for us. Chills man. Great season ending to a great series.
The John teller passage was revealed to Tara, then burned. That letter would open up the path for Jax to seek vengeance for his father. Burned after reading.
and the shots of Clay and Jax smiling at each other in solidarity. knowing what comes next, season 3 really did have the best ending in laying what's to come
Time to rewatch the series again. This finale was so perfect, only made better by a phenomenal cover of this classic. “The King is gone, he’s not forgotten.”
I love the symbolism paired with the lyrics in the last shot, Jax is separated from the rest of the crew and they all are staring down leaning forward while he sits back with his head up looking down at them. Such a cool shot! I’m binge watching the series for the first time now I love it
This has got to be one of the best season finales of all time. I’ll never forget where I was and how it made me feel. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days
It’s strange they showed Tara telling Jax he mother help clay to kill his father only that it was clay I guess after Tara death he realize or maybe before when she stole his father book
God I love this show. Season 3 ending was the best. It was the last time they felt like a family before it all goes to shit. The scene of Gemma looking so smug to Tara knowing she had just unearthed a bomb and Clay still thinking he's king and poor Jax believing his father wasn't the man he had believed him to be.
The brotherhood is wat got me Pain loss and we transform Scary feeling of not knowing when u die but to take your life and let the coin drop for another brother or sister is king or a kueen Lot of darkness in this world but we shine this place up and fill it so much life Stay solid my friends n nvr forgotten
probably the best ending to a season of any show i've seen. it's crazy to see how alike Jax is to his father. and how Gemma manipulated Jax in to believing his dad was some terrible person
Even during the scene where they’re all laughing I was like “why the hell are they laughing?” Little did I know, it was all apart of the plan. I just thought they were going insane at that point lol.
The end to that episode brought me to tears because of how invested I was in the story, great show, amazing writing, and impeccable soundtrack placement there's something so somber yet perfect about the song and it fits that ending to a T I can't see any other song taking the place of the one that was used
The way this scene plays out is almost Shakespearean the Queen alone in her castle with her only family left and her handmaiden thinking she's alone and her son the Prince is about to meet a gruesome fate only to find out that he and the King planned this and everything is ok the messages being delivered by the noble squires of the good men who she loves and wants to protect. What she doesn't know is the Princess knows what happened to the old King and the hell that it will bring once the Prince knows the truth of who slew his father.
In the van, when the camera zooms in on clay, shadow covers half of his face. Then the camera zooms in on jax. Almost half of his face is in shadow. Slowly going to the dark side
@@buttlickerking2208 your late to the party, nice try though troll you probably look like one too 😂 go cry to your mama it’s okay let it all out lil one
The absolute last time a season would end where everything felt like a family and also the last time a season would end where Clay was still President of SOA.
Esta escena fue la que me encendió definitivamente el chip. Acabé totalmente enamorado. Me voló la cabeza. Me engañaron completamente. Jodida obra maestra.
For some odd reason reason this morning this song was stuck in my head. Just the right after I had a dream about Dennis Hopper the guy from speed and Texas Chainsaw Massacre as well as the main villain that build-up Jack Bauer in season 1 of 24. Honestly if there was ever a Sons of Anarchy prequel Dennis Hopper would make a perfect John teller he even looks like Jax Teller
I remember watching this and wondering why there were more seasons, the finale was wrapping things up perfectly. Jimmy and Stahl were dead, the club was pretty much out of the gun business due to how things stood with IRA (correct me if I am wrong), Able was back home, and the gang would be out in less than 2 years. It felt like a perfect bittersweet ending. But that reveal... that threw everything up into the air and I couldn't wait to start the next season.
I dont think Kurt has anything to do with anything Sons related anymore or even could if he wanted due since he doesnt own the rights . But heres a prayer that we one day get a Sutters first 9 series
Never seen something executed like this, the main characters knowing something the audience don’t.. right til the end. Masterful.
This was the craziest scene lol i really thought jax ratted
Fr bro I thought he was out of the club for sure man
It was an emotional ending
Me too
i still don’t fully understand the laughing part
@@coltonwebster9268 their plan went off perfectly, so they where celebrating. they couldn't do much else but laugh since they where still cuffed
When Clay started smiling I knew it was all good. This was the last time the entire gang was all together, helping each other, helping SAMCRO.
Clay only cared about his arse. He lost control in season 4 with the letters and getting involved with the cartel. Should have kept with the Irish only and be "set for life" as per his own words.

I'm rewatching it right now and it's the freaking best
The last 20 minutes of this episode is my favorite of the series

I miss SoA and that song is beautiful
For me this was the biggest clue about Gemma and how she is responsible about pretty much everything that happens to the club.
