  • A week after the Minneapolis City Council extended the enactment of an ordinance that would raise wages for drivers - a move that led Uber and Lyft to threaten to leave if approved - Minnesota legislators are hoping to create a policy that would guide the rideshare industry for the entire state.

How about staying out of private business? The government has no right to get involved.

Yes, let large corporation keep 70% of passengers payments and pay the drivers below minimum wage. Great

Uber and Lyft are so smooth . Surprise the News and Media paint this picture. They are fighting for minimum wage not even a great pay minimum wage. Crazy they make Uber and Lyft look good and the driver greedy. Uber and Lyft get 70% of rides and won’t budge . Imagine owning a company with 10,000 drivers in a state and the driver dose the ride, pay the gas, pays the maintenance on the vehicle, gets no dental, medical or any type benefits and gets 30% of every ride. But Uber and Lyft makes 70% of those rides just because they booked them. How can’t they afford to be in Minnesota if they make 70% of 5000 rides a day with low expensive?

The compromise should be $20 an hour minimum wage statewide
