If you want to up your cheese sauce game, don't buy pre-shredded. Bagged cheese contains an Anti-Caking powder, its entire purpose is to prevent sticking/melting/moisture. Your sauce will always be slightly gritty. Do yourself and your sauce a favor, risk the annoyance and your knuckles, and buy block cheese and shred it yourself for your sauces. This is my type of cooking. We love all of these foods at this house. One Christmas I made Prime Rib instead of turkey and it is wonderful for a change. Prime Rib is so good anytime.
