When his conference died, he went with it. Say what you will about Bill, he loved the PAC. A shame he'll never see it back with Boise State, SDSU, Gonzaga, Utah State, and Colorado State.
No argument that Bill Walton was an incredible basketball player. As a Pac-12 commentator though he needed to shut up about 99% of the time when he was endlessly yammering on about squirrels, pinecones, clouds, raindrops and ocean waves. He should have gotten a gig with OPB to cover that content and talked about the games, league and players when he was helping cover sports.
