The big one is awesome! We have lots of rattlesnakes in Az. People always go on about snake length, but with rattlesnakes it is thickness. I’m glad your pup is smart. Thanks.

That big Fairburn was AMAZING! Please do NOT cut it!!! Also, at 6:16 on the video when you pulled the nice med. sized Fairburn out, it looked like there was another one right next to it. Idk... if it or not- but you said if we saw anything that we should mention it to you...

That is a huge Fairburn! 'Uuuge! Some people tell me it's the 'ugest Fairburn, I wouldn't say that but that's what they tell me. It's a tremendous Fairburn, frankly, the finest.
What are the pretty blue stones that I’m seeing mixed in with the white ones and crystallized looking ones.. I’m not familiar with any of this beautiful Rocky area.. and I’m very new to rock hunting so I know you’re looking for the Fairburn agates and this is the first I’ve heard of them. They are absolutely gorgeous. If you could just tell me what some of those other stones are, I would love to know or if anybody else reads this …thank you very very much. 😊
@@Pampnaylor I think the blue you are seeing is just weird lighting. The white rocks are all quartz and there is also smokey quartz which are the darker grey ones, and those might be what are looking blue. Welcome to the crowd and best luck out there! 🕵🏻♂️

@@JnVrockhounding can’t be scared! 🙃 if it were a solid gem quality piece, I would never cut it. But this one is all kinds of fractured and really doesn’t have a whole lot to lose if I did. Some of them can be far better as a cut agate, but they can also be duds. Just never know!
I was recently in SD and I found many agates, I’m new to the fairburn agates and I’m not sure if I found any. Is there any way I could email you pictures of what I found so you can tell me? Or at least tell me how I would know if it’s fairburn?
@@reedheimann8065 howdy! I don’t generally do rock ID’s as I’ve had too many broken hearts and arguments come from it when I say “that one is a Praire agate”, and so on. Everyone wants them all to be fairburns but it’s rarely the case. There are some Facebook fairburn agate pages though that folks often post pics to and they get all the answers they need. As for telling the fairburns from other agates and such, the fairburns have crisp, sharp banding. They don’t look like anything else out there. If you look at a few of my videos, you should be able to see what a fairburn is. The colors of the bands can change, but the sharp, crisp bands are pretty much always similar. It’s their signature, if you will. Best luck!

As for the pages, just toss “fairburn agate group” in the Facebook search and it should pull up a few pages. There’s probably half dozen or better different pages now. Even a few for sale pages.
