NYC Subway Nightmare After Ice Storm

The No. 7 subway line was a nightmare all day on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, because of icing on the third rail, prompting a power loss and shutdown. A 7 train was between stations near Queensboro Plaza when the power went off around 9:30 a.m. Monday. Those passengers were stranded for about two hours before a rescue train was sent to assist.
