Or he could just not like Eminem. I mean that is okay too. I love Eminem. Not everyone has to though. I think Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash are fucking terrible. I am not sure I have ever heard a song of either of theirs that wasn't excruciating to my ears. I am in the minority and that is okay. That said Dylan is a fantastic writer. Point is let people like what they like and dislike what they dislike. I don't know where we got this idea that everything was objectively good or bad and anyone who doesn't think that way needs to conform.
@@Mudcat3434 They didn't say that he HAD to like Eminem, they said appreciate, and there's nothing wrong with introducing new genres of music to people, it's not like you're strapping them down to a chair and MAKING them listen to it, chill.
Yeah it's a great heart warming song. It remind me of my daughter. We like this reaction video too because our friend who just passed away last year joined us for this one. Thanks for watching, we appreciate the support.
I don't think he is ever really going to understand that the musicianship of rap Is the words! The flow of the words is a musical instrument in itself and then the rhyme scheme is another level to the complexity of rap. Add to that similes, metaphors, double and triple entendres, etc and a rappers ability to tell a story while still rhyming on a level not done in other genres of music and then understanding all of that is where the appreciation of rap comes in. When he says he would be happy watching the video to Mockingbird and having Eminem just narrate the video, then he is really still missing the point of rap. Maybe you should show him some more musical rap songs with more instruments in the background. Yelawolf has songs like that. I guess even Lose yourself is a pretty traditional song music wise.
Eminem uses his voice as percussion. I’m pretty sure he has studied percussion because he finds ways to make beats and just use his voice to fill a void he left in the beat with his voice. It’s like a bouncy flow, drummers really appreciate what he does in that regard
Wordplay, double meanings, sometimes triple meanings, beat, syllable rhyming..this is what he should appreciate to enjoy rap in general and Eminem in particular.
guy on the right perplexes me, he can simultaneously applaude eminem as it entertains him but he "sits there and waits" for a melody but would also prefer him to talk and there be no melody, make your mind up
its not that confusing. to him its like someone giving a speech but then someone uploads the speech to youtube with an unnecessary motivational background track. hes the type that likes the speech but would prefer to hear the speech stand alone without the unnecessary cadence/music in the background. hell, he might even like the background music in a different context but when mixed together, to him, it doesn't fit. if you think about it like that hopefully its easier to understand.
Please react to: Ren & Sam Tompkins - Earned it /Mans World / Falling These are two seperate performers who perform together now and again. Ren in his own right did have a deal with Sony I believe however due to poor health had to concentrate on getting better and had to step away from the deal. I was told to watch him by a friend and hey I'm hooked, absolutely brilliant, talented individual and well really should say individuals, Sam Tompkins blows me away too. ruclips.net/video/d8nBzrhd8Ro/видео.html
Wheres the rest of the greats at?!... i mean, if yall are gonna go through hiphop/rap, gotta do the greats: 2pac, NAS, Eminem(✅), Kanye(old stuff), Biggie, Drake, J Cole, Outkast, Kendrick Lamar, Logic...
For him to appreciate Eminem, you need to sit next to him and explain and break down the doubles and word play which is the genius of Eminem.
This is a good idea, I would LOVE to do this, once I get him a little more warmed up to rap in general :) thanks for watching!

I think he sacrificed some of the flow and cadence in order to say exactly what he wanted to say. This wasn't a track to showcase his lyrical ability.
I love this song its been years i still memorize every single word

The voice as an instrument part of your comment is exemplified in yelawolf’s box Chevy 7 imo

This was meant more as a lullaby story for his girl's, wasn't meant to be an "Eminem" song if that makes any sense x
I've heard this song thousands of times and it brings me to tears everytime I hear this one hits deep in the heart
This channel is really starting to grow on me.
Em made this song for hes daughters in theire words so they could understand it...
The melody is in thewords. It's called cadence

Try some other rap like I'm sorry by Joyner locus or nf how could you leave us
Tart them down the nf journey
You need to do lyrics so he can read and process the meaning and sound of each word and how it flows. Pretty much like an instrument
React to any thing on kamikaze
Please react to some Juice WRLD. He definitely has the melody, but he's a good rapper too.
