Unlikely to happen. Governments of both persuasions are used to the revenue.

With Tesla’s recent price cuts this car looks very expensive.

so go ahead ... buy the Holden Commodore of EV's and enjoy your resale price once the time to sell comes!!!!

I don’t think the bmw will have much better resale sadly

If you have to consider price, then you are a Tesla driver. If you care about class and style, you get a bmw.

      It's in the review 😉
If you can't make it through though, the i4 eDrive 35 starts from $85,900 in Australia, plus $3000 for the Enhancement Package fitted to the car you see here.

    Watch Out Tesla???
Do you need to put the word "Tesla" into every video on EV's to attract traffic?
This is clearly meant to sit in an entirely different class than the Model 3 and attract a different level of buyer than the 3 which I think is more of a mid-level car - base spec v base spec it's 33k (56% more expensive than the model 3)
This is clearly meant to be premium-luxury, it's like saying watch out Mazda or watch out Hyundai ..... because those are the cars (the Mazda 6 and Hyundai Sonata) sit in the same price bracket as the model 3.

you seem bothered... Tesla has been the benchmark for a long time... so why not compare. That being said Tesla are fastly becoming the Toyota Camry, Holden Commodore of the EV word.... super cheap with close to no resale value.

You can get a model 3 performance that does 0-100 in 3.1 seconds for that money...

I wish the new Tax incentives on EV cars covered cars older than 2 years too. You cannot fight global warming if you encourage buying new EV cars

The BMW is a pile of European trash compared to Tesla. It’s a long long way from the “best value” EV, so wonder why you say it’s good value when the thing costs a fortune in relation to Tesla and other decent EV’s. BMW don’t have a clue.

    • @sailpro2001
      @sailpro2001 6 месяцев назад

Sure that might be the case... but Tesla's are fastly becoming the Holden Commodore of EV's - reliable, common and now dime a dozen!!!

A lot of EV-focused reviews disagree with you. BMW is the closest to Tesla in terms of overall EV experience against dollar value (Porsche is better but more expensive). So your EV options if Tesla is your baseline is: move up to BMW for better interior / materials, Porsche for the top of the line experience, and below Tesla, you have the Chinese brands, with BYD being the closest to a direct competitor to Tesla, but let down by the unreliable software and after-sales experience.

I have owned different BMW for the last 20 years. I do most of maintenes myselves. Last time i had to go to a workshop was 2002. I'm doing 20 000 miles every year. Cant say they are expensive to drive. Value loss has not been bad ether.

No matter what badge you put on it, it's still an EV & a bad idea.
C'mon BMW, bring out a small affordable hybrid & left Tesla die in peace.
