Then you got games like Injustice where you got a katana shoved through your abdomen and had dual SMGs unloaded into you, and you’re still standing able to fight. But then a slap disables you entirely. It’s just so funny that’s why i always like to one punch someone at the end in fighting games like that.

this is why its important to add animations that show how low the players hp is. your character looking the same at 100 hp and 1 hp is kinda weird to see.

Reminds me that in Halo Reach, grenades can kill you if they hit you. Not just the explosions. The unexploded grenade hitting you in the face can damage you, and kill you if your health is low enough.
Remember too that in certain games when you're very alert and healthy enemy aim is awful but when you are busy trying to do three other things enemy aim is headshots and criticalities

the reason you don't get weaker at lower hp is so you still have a chance to win. it would be tedious to have to wait for the enemy to kill you if after you're unable to fight.
