When I watch things like this I’m amazed by two things - 1) how do people come up with the different heavy equipment needed for this and 2) why do people feel like all kids need to go to college? What a cool and satisfying job those guys have in building, delivering, and assembling someone’s house on site. How much skill and knowledge that crane operator must have to do something like this!
Crane or forklift operator, do not hurt or kill other people ! Crane, weight, windage, balance, mud, rain, wires. Forklift, balance, weight, mud, wind, wires, pipes. Of coarse, other humans are first. Safety is first for humans and machine. Edit: Just like driving a truck or car, speed matters.
Yes! My Dad operated a much smaller, more basic crane one year & came home exhausted but feeling good about doing a hard but necessary, skilled job every day! Bless him, he was an educator who had been an office worker his whole life except in the Army in WW2. He was so proud to be "one of the guys" that summer, & truly respected the skills of the men he was working with. Skilled labor gives you respect for yourself, & other workers.

Y'all are so blessed. Can't wait til we can get our property. Our son also wants to homestead with us. He's 31 so we know he's serious about it. Will be awesome that when we pass on we will be passing the homestead onto our son. Can't wait to finally find the land that God wants us to work and live on.
I think your house is probably the most famous at least on RUclips right now. God must have heard all our prayers for you and made it all go as it should. My neighbor had one done. It was a two story and the whole neighborhood watched them put it together. It was amazing. It took two months for everything to be done so they could move in.

My brother bought a house like this and ,truthfully, it's built better that an onsite build. His exterior walls were all 2X6's, unlike traditional homes. I was able to watch them put it all together and , you're right, it's amazing !

I feel like it was me getting this house. So exciting to watch them navigate your driveway and place your new home on the foundation. You show with your videos the process very well with everything you do. As soon as I get the notification on you tube I rush to click on it to watch your videos. Congratulations and much success in your life for the future. I hope your girls understand and appreciate the great parents they have. As a 73 year old not able to do the hard work you are doing and living the clean life it will follow you when you get older. Not eating fast food and processed food that people eat now a days is not good for anyones health. I’m glad I was raised on home cooked food and I continue to eat that way.

This was one of the best videos we've seen. It's amazing what a good semi driver can do. Our son drove truck for about 10 yrs for a few different companies. He could back a trailer into a slot with only 6" clearance on either side. He can drive ANYTHING. We can only imagine the skill it takes.

We bought a home made the same way as yours 27 years ago and have never regretted it. We didn’t have to deal with a contractor, I think that was the best part. We went through the factory where ours was made twice liked everything we saw. I have construction experience and I was very pleased to see how our home was built, ours was placed on a full basement and was installed by the use of a crane all enclosed in one day, we have never had any problems. So congratulations I think you two made a great decision.

I'd think you guys would be very nervous to see your house lifted up and swung around by a crane, but that was amazing to watch, and the crane operator definitely has some mad skills! Such precision. The crane company had exactly the right rigging pick points for your long home. It weighed between 40 and 45 pounds per sq. ft. They have it down to a science and there is no one who works harder that a good set crew. It looks like your home went together well. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see sill sealer below your sill plate to seal your basement from air infiltration. You can always seal it with insulation if it hasn't been done. I hope you are very happy with your home. May our Lord bless you and keep you and be gracious to you.

Thank-you both so much for posting this. Back in the '70's, i bought a manufactured, or "pre-fabricated" home in South Floeida. Back then they assembled smaller modules on site. Built in the 40's, it was a good sturdy small home, & i lived there for 30 years. Hoping you will be Blessed with 30, (or more), happy years in your new home. Yours is very pretty. Love the nice shade of green siding, set off with that spanking white trim! Best Wishes!

A HUGE Congratulations from me and my wife, Anne! Actually, I am a professional carpenter (also a prof. chef) and I used to do work like this for 20 years. I specialized in window frames and glazing. Sometimes we would build summer houses at the shop and move them on a truck with flooring and everything and sometimes we would make wall sections and assemble them on site. I can see right away that the building standards would not be approved here in this country, so far up North. We have frequent hurricane force storms and a house like that would not survive in Iceland. But we are so, so happy for you and all your success! All your dreams are coming true and it has been a great pleasure following you for the past years. God bless!

I just found out I am 4 percent Icelandic. Strange, but I am happy.

I worked construction for many years running cranes and giant excavators out of local 77 Washington DC. Kudos to the truck drivers and especially that crane operator. These workers are supposed to be good because they do this day in and day out, week in and week out, that's what they get paid to do. The reason people get nervous is because they don't understand the process. Hope this new home is a blessing to Kevin and Sarah. Praise God.😃
