Did We Make a Mistake? TODAY WE THRILL at Coco Cay - Thrill Water Park (Harmony of the Seas)

- You have two options at Perfect Day at Coco Cay... You can chill or you can THRILL! Or a combination of both... We typically chill but today we are heading into Thrill Waterpark!! This has the tallest water slide in North America... Dare Devil's Tower. Can we do it? And if we can, is it a mistake?
After the waterpark, we head over to South Beach for chill time. We rented a cabana with some friends because it was too good a deal to pass up, and it is something we have been wanting to try. Now it's time for chill mode!
And that brings our cruise on Harmony of the Seas to an end! It was a fabulous cruise and we really enjoyed the Oasis class of ships.

Alica 239 steps are the exact amount that is also on the Arc De Triumph in Paris. I cant believe that Jason went down that slide after his shoulder surgery. lol Looks like ya'll had a great time

Cabana is the way to go! The bungalows at Labadee (also RCCL) are not as modern as those but you get most of the same stuff for less money if you want one on a bit of a budget. The aqua show on Oasis class is amaze-balls!

I'm surprised ya'll made it down the slide with your clothes on, my wife went down one many years ago and everyone got a show when she stood up. She actually walked about a few steps before someone told her she was exposed to the sun. lol Fun times.

Cabana is very similar to the ones on Great Stirrup Caye for NCL. Whats nice about GSC cabanas is there is a shower in the back. Too expensive for just me and the hubby but we always get one when traveling with at least another couple to split the cost. GREAT way to spend the day
I went to the waterpark in nov 2019 and it was SOOO windy and cold but it was still fun
You didn't try the other slides? The drop slide is scary AF. The blue one that drops straight down is really fun.
Got to leave something to be desired for our next visit but it’s on the hit list!
Glad to see you trying to do some low carb on your cruise. My last five cruises I've kept my keto carnivore lifestyle and still have a great time. The Tower of lobster carcasses we leave behind on lobster night is kind of embarrassing. I can't wait to go on Harmony in May with all my keto friends

We did the the water park when we were on the Monsters of Rock Cruise... 8 people were in the water park total!!!!!!
Good boy JASON! I'm carnivore! But all that climbing, you can probably do some carbs. Looks like we may have to spring for that pass. We've done the Beach Club which I highly recommend but we got it for only $58.99 pp...not happening this time. We cruise Mar. 18th! Woohoo. Now you need to do the new WOnder of the Seas!
Oh I wish we could be on that first sailing but we have a group cruise that week…

So we did that slide in October. The climb was rough. The run down was rougher. I couldn't catch my breath from all that water in my face.

What was your ship's capacity percentage & was there other ships at the island ? We're sailing on the Anthem of the Seas in 3 weeks. I would like to know what the crowds might be.
Ship was at about 50% capacity and there was one other ship in port with us!

With all the stuff you had (sunglasses, cameras, ect) did you have storage for the slide, or was it safe to take those down that slide without worry. I’m on the Wonder of the Seas soon and coco Kay is a destination. Also, do you feel a cabana is a huge advantage?
Question. My wife and I are heading to coco cay in September. How strict are they with weight? Your friend looks a bit bigger. Did he have any problems? I’m about 304lbs and family trying to get below 300 before the cruise.

The Wave Pool is nice. Hopefully they will add a lazy river in the next couple of years. That’s where I will be.
