The combination of explanation of the physics behind flame rectification and the demonstration with a flame and oscilloscope was excellent. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Wow, finally found this great video using an oscilloscope to display the flame rectification. Many furnaces use this for flame detection. The probe must be cleaned yearly to work. Thank you.
really cool! ive seen other videos showcasing this phenomenon but none as clearly explained and thourough as yours. just a thought, perhaps this is like what happens in vacuum tubes, and maybe, if you inserted a 'grid' in between the electrodes you could get some sort of control over the rectification?
Excelent, its really useful information. If i want to implement the electronic part for this reading, on wich part might be the logical ground of the circuit and the flame system, im a bit confused to implement this... Thank you.
amazing video i wached few videos about the flam rectification but icould not understand how flam can act as diod. what is aplication of using flam as a diod beside using it in furnace (HVAC). THANKS
Glasstronic made a diode by using water with baking soda in it. the video is called...... Homebrew electrolytic capacitor/full wave rectifier/half wave rectifier part 2 of 2

Thanks for the clear explanation.
A good explanation of the physics behind flame rectication and the relation to vacuum diodes. Thanks!

Really interesting. It is my first time to see flame diode.
Thanks Yiming, Indeed it is amazing, so much that we know nothing about 😅. By the way, once again congratulations.

Well done. I liked all of the different tests.
This will be quite useful for the electronics students to understand pn diodes
That's a good explanation of the effect

hello sir, can you make a lpg ionization rod flame sensor without photodiode IR receiver
Very well demonstrated, cheers.

very educative. Thank you regards
Very interesting.
many many thanks
Please explain "decay"
Decay in this case is that the density of electrons or ions decreases with distance.
I got two words for you, John Bedini
