What a wonderful celebration with Livey. You folks have been doing such a great job with Livey. Maybe because you folks didn’t have too long to think of what you guys had to do in the sense of taking a baby or do you just carry on your life. I admire you folks for taking on such a responsibility. Once you have made the decision there is no turning back. But like with your other children there are just pure loving rewards that you get everyday. Yes there are challenges but that is what raising children is about. ❤❤

You are so fortunate. My husband and I weren't able to have children. In the mid to late 80's when we were trying to adopt, the cost was $30,000.00. We couldn't afford it, so no children for us😢
I’m in Texas and my friend fostered a baby from the day she was born , the mom wanted to sign rights over immediately but she still had to go through a process and it took 2 years until the baby was adopted. So many different stories with adoption ❤

The bittersweet side of adoption....just got word a week ago that my Biological Mom suddenly passed before I got to meet her. What a journey the grieving has been. I am not able to attend her celebration of life but I will be there in heart!!! ❤ My grandma and sisters are sending me some of her ashes as well.

I went to a foster home just before I turned 15 I went to a boys ranch at 14 but it was funny I went for a visit Thanksgiving 1974 and after Thanksgiving weekend I was getting ready to go back to the boys ranch my foster mom came to my room she asked me if I loved it there I said yes she said then why are you packing I was puzzled she said everything has been taken care of, I was very lucky had the greatest foster parents a boy could have they were military and they were strict but very loving I still call them mom and dad they had three boys and a daughter they adopted and myself I lived with them until I joined the Army April 1976.🎉
My Grandaughter who was 2 in July adores Bluey ,if she was allowed to watch Bluey on TV all day then she would. Her face when she’s watching an episode is amazing,full of smiles ,a beautiful thing to see. Happy birthday Olivia 😊

Our family dynamics have changed thru adoption we are now a multinational family which includes Chinese, Russian and Italian and so much fun with get-togethers

Happy Birthday! My daughter is about a month older than Liv. She was born early and weighed 1lb 8oz. She is a happy, thriving, almost 29lb, 2 year old now. I'm so happy they are both doing so well. Loved her little gasp when she saw the balloons. So cute! I hope my daughter wants a Bluey bday party next year. We are big Bluey fans, too!
Happy Birthday Olivia!!! I can’t believe she’s 2!! I’m a foster/adoptive mom to 5 and I can now see the parts of them that “nurture” played a part, and the parts that “nature” played. It’s been to see. I never had the joy of getting pregnant, but I had the absolute joy of instantly falling in love with all my kids. Jessica, you had to cry at the end….you got me going. Adoption (& foster care) is a such a beautiful journey. ❤️

One of my daughters towers over me and she would pick me up and squeeze me until arthritis came upon me. She was not a planned baby but I couldn’t imagine my life without her in it. God knew exactly what I needed. ❤🙏✝️

Also....went through the adoption process through the ministry in BC Canada, with absolutely no results.....Went private, within 3 months a connection happend. Was due in September 1991, got the call on August 3oth, 1991, saying...." He is here"...Perfect, in every way , just some Jaundice . We waited 12 days, for him to be ok , and for the birthmother to sign the papers..Our adoption lawyer said he had never an adoption go that smoothly.....God is sooo Good! ❤

One was special needs that couldn’t even roll over.
He had a five year life expectancy but lived to be 34. He passed away
10 months before wife of 58 years passed. Jesus has been my strength for
the year and one half.

I can't believe that Livy is already 2!! I remember watching the process of you guys getting her. Seeing the love that she has for you all is so wonderful. Just do me a favor and make sure that you celebrate her "gotcha day" (which is the day that your adoption was finalized), too, if you're going to be bringing up that she is adopted. This will reinforce just how special she is (not that the other three are not, but as someone who's adopted it makes a difference). Remember, one day, she will watch these videos.
I know this is also helpful for those going through adoption processes themselves.
