Trying to learn how to win this fight with bow. I can never squeeze out enough damage to finish the run solo. Now I’m seeing that the best way to play this is to play relatively close to it to shoot the face instead of hanging back and shooting from distance. This was amazing. Thank you for posting!
I made it over the initial learning curve with bow. Got checked a bit by frostfang barioth but got through him. Now I’m getting checked by Furious rajang. My god you make it look easy 🔥 Time to improve
I absolutely love MHW on pc but have been grinding again on console. I really wish they’d allow a profile transfer. 2k+ hrs on console is hard to let go.

Casual Actual no there’s no official way. That’s why i’m saying « technically ». You can convert your save using external tools, or if you want an easier time, you can use mods to get back what you got on console in like 30 min

Tidus69 I really want to asks you one thing. Does completion time is seriously a matter? Some people say over 16 minutes means you are bad player or weak player . Boss fight database channel also take more than 16 minutes but he play so well. This really insult me sometimes
Archangel Pond i don’t know who bossfight database is, but it doesn’t really matter what time it takes you to finish the quest. It’s not really important

In iceborne they changed the MVs of rapids and powers, making power3 almost useless. So it’s now better to do qrrrp rather than qrprp, which was the better combo in base game. Now in this specifically, i only do qrrp instead of qrrrp just for timing, if you do qrrp you can fit 4 combos exactly

Lena Zhao when rajang topples, he goes very far back. Without EE, you spend all your stamina and most of the down just to get to him. With EE2, it only takez 1-2 dashes

Jren thank you! And yea i would argue mighty bow is almost mandatory... best way to farm it is to do the « name’s lavasioth » event quest, because mighty bow does’t drop in Master Rank...
In base game, qrprp (quickshot rapid power rapid power) was the best combo. With the way they changed the MVs in iceborne, power 3 has become pretty bad. Thus, new best combo is qrrrp instead of qrprp. In this specific run, I cut down a rapid from the combo to a qrrp, because of timings. It allows me to fit qrrp x4 which is optimal. For other fights most of the time, do qrrrp. (But it’s a flexible combo, so you can cut down one of the rapid for qrrp if needed.)

Ahah my pleasure. Usually no, because it’s too much investment. It depends on the build. Usually it goes like this for priority: Spread 1 normal 0 Spread 1 n 1 Spread 2 n 1 Spread 2 n 2 But most of the time you either have s1n0 or s1n1.

It’s 10% of your raw damage only. So on Rajang that has low raw hzv, it would be like 1-2 damage per arrow, and I don’t have much space on this build, so I don’t use it.
Does level of bow charge affect your spread shot? I tried hunt rajang with bow kjarr ice but the damage seems inconsistent sometimes its 40+ per pellet and sometimes 56 per pellet when i do the bow dance. I'm new to bow , be easy on me😂

Vegetal 2 scenarios: when timing is too tight to fit both, you skip the rapid. At that timestamp, if I did the rapid i would’ve been caught by the roar. Second scenario is if i know i’m about to get a break or a flinch, it’s better to get it with a spread than a rapid, more damage

You can, if you’re lucky he’ll topple on the edge which will limit the distance. But realistically, evade extender 2 is very useful against him

It's cold outside the safi 3 brachy2 build only has stamina surge for like 1% more damage. Really not worth it in TA imo

Because you can't soften his head so you don't get the whole 50% affinity from weakness exploit, so you need some crit eye to get 100%
