Honestly I thought the same and then I watched the 12th Doctor's seasons and Capaldi is just SO GOOD (plus it was his dream role) that I can't blame DW. But yeah, Rochefort, Feron and Grimaud have nothing on him
@@DvornyashkaDiaries I agree with you! About a year ago I was hopeful. Now after viewing some of their remakes I'm like if they make the movie the Hellfire song will be rather omitted or heavily edited for the new crowd. I'll just enjoy the classic film and be content the remake will possibly be instant regret coming.
Thank for the amazing edit! Richelieu was always my favourite character in the novel. I think this particular adaptation was a dissapointment, however, Capaldi truly outshines every other actor in the series and I can't help but adore his interpretation.
"Decapitating one's mother is rarely popular with the people, Sire." Haha, I forgot about that line! Richelieu was such a great villain in the shadows, it's a shame he couldn't be in season 2. During the 12th doctor's run, I was praying for an episode where they'd crossover with The Musketeers, and he has to avoid being spotted least they recognise him as their late Cardinal. Didn't happen, sadly, but I bet BBC could have pulled it off. Great edit!! Lovely to see more recent Musketeer vids
If the BBC knows how to do one thing, it's historical epics Musketeers, Merlin and DW The BBC is also great at comedies, such as Fawlty Towers and Blackadder...but apparently that's too offensive
Richelieu was beside Colbert the one and only to keep France alive. Louis XIII. was a guy, who doesent know, if he is in for men or women or whatever, even dont know himself. Its because of the cardinal, that the french not eating Roastbeef today....
@@zxcvbnmAG99 he was a worthy scholar of Richelieu. Legend has it, that on his very own deathbed Richelieu suggested Mazarin as bis successor to the King.
You are totaly wrong with Louis XIII. Hé was the last warrior king and he put all his strenght on his kingdom before himself. Louis couldn't trust Richelieu in the first Time, but he rapidly understood Richelieu was a genius. And Louis choose him as first (And almost unique minister).
It was a great mistake not to recasting to the role of the Cardinal. The second and the third season would be incredible with him and Rochefort as the main villains. The second season was good, but the third was meh.

I'll never forgive Doctor Who for robbing us of Capaldi's Richelieu before his time.

Rochefort was cool, I liked how unhinged he was, but Grimaud and Feron, total villain of the week energy.
I love him if Disney ever do a New Hunchback of Norte Dame movie live action I want him to play Frollo so bad.
He definitely looks the part :D
Either him or Charles dance would be perfect for the role
Modern Disney will never grow balls to film this remake

Now Disney anounced an live action movie. He will play Frollo. 👍
- My heart bleeds for him.
- You have one?
Savage!!
*Capaldi was the only reason to watch BBC Musketeers and then he left for Doctor Who, not that I blame him, but the show died without him.*
I enjoyed the other seasons
"Total solitude, unlimited time to reflect. I almost envy you."
Oh! Doctor. Same old same old Doctor...
He was the true star of this series 🔥
Un acteur prodigieux, en plus il ressemble physiquement au portrait du Cardinal de Richelieu !

Peter Capaldi is perfect 😍
Nice job! Congratulations ❤️
Thank you!

Your videos ease my depression. Don't stop. There are many other chracters and shows.
He’s basically taller Tyrion on this show.
So Tywin? Take a stab at the historical figure who influenced that character lol
@@AscentofTrollbane Tywin and Richilieu are equally badass (and portrayed by great actors)
Nice work... Capaldi just keeps getting better.
OMG this was fabulous. Capaldi was superb!!!
And now I want to watch the show
me too
i love this show and Capaldi's Richelieu

The Cardinal is also a Time Lord :)
He has the heart and morality of one~
So he is the predecessor to Malcolm Tucker.

Great edit! Unfortunately as a Catholic I can't like the betrayal. But you have talent
This tv show was good while Peter Capaldi was in it.
WTF ITS SO SEXY!!
Where'd you get the scenes please spill
It was a great mistake not to recasting to the role of the Cardinal. The second and the third season would be incredible with him and Rochefort as the main villains. The second season was good, but the third was meh.
What's the title of the series?
The Musketeers
How is this show called?
The Musketeers (BBC)
Les personnages physiques semblent avoir oublier la réalité de l'histoire. Donc, à fuir absolument.
This thing is full of spoilers
That's usually how character tributes work.
