This isn't a song, it's a shared spiritual experience. The Lady is the incredible Paula Cole. Peter brought together his original band for the concert... absolutely magnificent. THIS is what coming together to make something magical looks like....

You should check out his song Biko. If you do, look for the live version on the Amnesty International tour from 1986. I saw that tour and it was the last song he played. He left the stage while the band still played and 50000 people had their hands held in the air, chanting "Hey Hey Ohhh," Chilling as fuck. There was a movie made about Stephen Biko too. Starred Denzel Washington and it was called Cry Freedom.

"When I want to run away I drive off in my car - But whichever way I go - I come back to the place you are" ❤
Peter Gabriel was the lead singer of Genesis. When he left, their drummer, the one & only Phil Collins stepped out from behind his drums and took over lead vocals.
Peter went solo & gave us this and songs like "Sledgehammer", "Solsbury Hill", and the one definitely not to miss is "Don't Give Up" featuring Kate Bush. Kate is a phenomenal singer with several hits on her own. Together, singing "Don't Give Up" is beautiful & inspirational.
Great reaction Teez!! I love that people used lighters - not phones back in the day. I'm so glad you enjoyed this beautiful song. ❤🎵✌
PS. Now that you know about the drummer - this is always a good stepping stone to see him after he eventually went solo from Genesis in his iconic song: Phil Collins "In the Air Tonight" LIVE HD (91 million views)

That same year Paul Simon came out with Graceland and stirred up controversy for going over to South Africa to sing with the local musicians there. The United Nations issued an international boycott. Paul Simon ignored it, sang with the locals, brought in some great sounds (like what Peter Gabriel did in this song), and Graceland was a spectacular success.

I was just about to comment that that Graceland concert is the only other one I can think of with this same vibe. Unadulterated genius. Peter Gabriel wasn’t afraid to experiment and was obsessed with rhythms. Earlier songs like Here Comes The Flood or Wallflower would pull on the heart strings. The Rhythm Of The Heat or Kiss Of Life really have amazing drumming. Not forgetting hits like Games Without Frontiers, Sledgehammer, Red Rain, Digging In The Dirt. He’s a fantastic artist.

    Please consider watching
Paul Simon- “Graceland- The Africa Concert”
    You’ll be blown away-
Taking absolutely nothing from Peter Gabriel- as I’ve been a huge fan of his since Genesis-
And this concert of his was EPIC-
    Graceland in Africa though-
Is a one in a lifetime never again experience
You should watch the entire concert through end to end-
    It’s a journey.
