    Hello mate, great video! I'm in the UK and ordered 6x DF120 and 2 plinths back in October and last week I received my shipment invoice so hopefully won't be long before they arrive. Really excited and it was your original videos which persuaded me to get them for my LEGO collection. I note that your way of building is different from the instructions so assume given your experience with building many your way is quicker?. Really helpful video is seeing the construction and can't wait to finally get mine. Regards David.

      Hello and thanks for watching!
      I assembled my cases before there were updated directions.
      When they updated the packaging and instructions, they sent me two sixth55 cases to trial on their updated instructions.
      It went very smooth. If you feel you understand the new instructions, I would do it that way.😊

      @@thejediknightswatch I received my cases Friday and spent the entire weekend putting them together and I'm sad to report it was the most horrendous experience I've had with building. The cases themselves don't take that long to put together once you know what you are doing but I had huge issues with removing the covering from the acrylic side panels. The first 3 took around 30-40 minutes each which was killer. Basically they kept ripping and leaving small elements stuck which took ages to remove. Strangely the last 3 came off in seconds much like in your video (quickest was 40 seconds). Although I had a total of 12 side panels I only needed 6 but if the rest had been like the first 3 I think I would have thrown in the towel as they really were horrendous. I noticed that the side panels where the covering came off with ease had different labelling to the ones which were difficult. The easy ones were either completely plain brown covering or were titled 'a-cast green premium quality'' where as the problematic ones were labelled 'tiger cast acrylic sheet'. It felt like the tiger labelled ones were old stock and the glue had completely set which was what made them tough to remove.
      My biggest complaint though Graeme was with the screws. Every single one was covered in oil! I have a light grey carpet and had to put towels down while building to ensure they didn't get marked. After the first cabinet my hands were completely black and looked like I had been working on a car engine. After that I switched to using my car latex detailing gloves as I got fed up of constantly washing my hands. I am absolutely perplexed with this decision and it really was disappointing. I know you are friends with the owner so you may want to pass on my comments.
      The cases are all built but I'm yet to stack them, to be honest after the weekend I'm going to take a break as it really wasn't a fun experience, certainly not for the price I paid. I'm waiting on plug adapters from Amazon which should arrive later today for the lighting as didn't realise they were 2 pin plugs. I have a few damaged panels so will email Moduspace but will do this once I have set them all set up.

    I just went through some DF120s myself during Xmas break and it could've been smoother had this vid been out 😂. The vid I went off of took a different approach which while not bad still could've used some improvements. I know you talk about the lighting in your other video, which I've seen, but maybe you can tell me quickly if you daisy chained the lights (about to start tomorrow) and if so did you go across or vertically on multiple cases?

    Hey Graeme, EXCELLENT tutorial! So if I wanted to display the white side of the panels, i can just install the panels backwards right? Or do i need to buy the white kit? How tall is your ceiling? What do you recommended for risers for moducases? Thanks!

    • @thejediknightswatch
      @thejediknightswatch  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey man, yeah you could flip the panels if you wanted white.
      My ceilings are about 100” tall. I feel like any riser helps but the taller you go the more visible the bottom shelf will be.
      Keep in mind if you go over 8 inches that the top shelf may start to get too tall.

    • @thejediknightswatch
      @thejediknightswatch  Год назад +2

      Looking crammed is somewhat subjective. You’ll never really know until you try it. The sixth series I can fit 10-12 without it looking too crammed. The DF I haven’t put anything in other than vehicles, but if you stagger them I’m sure you could do 20-25

      Yeah you would definitely need ti to be on some sort of table or some piece of furniture so you could view it properly. They aren't really made to have in singles.
      You could get 4 Sixth55 cases and it would be more like a vertical case. Same thing with the Sixth 90 cases. Its basically a Sixth110, but flipped vertical. Get a couple of those and then get some floating shelves that modus pace sells.
