I wish someone would do a vid on carb spring placements as i have just bought my 4th hayter and it's quite clear the spring are not were they should be...as the other three weren't.......they all ran, as they do, but not as they should....
At least it isn't just me mate, I had a choke problem on a 23-year-old Harrier 41 but I just bent the bracket lol. Then I also had the wrong hole but noticed it in time :-)
Hello sir . Thankyou for helping us all out . Ive been trying to fix my friends hayter 41 . For the love of it could i get it to stay running . So started to look at that choke part you showed us ...found that dam thin spring was off the choke part . It works
Hi, what’s the name of that part, also, on mine, looks like the back edge of the plastic part sat on top of the carb has worn away which is partially stopping the bent part you are replacing catching the plastic. What’s this called ?
Mate nothing wrong with putting in the wrong hole lol
Try telling that to my missus

Colin, where did you get the new plate? I think I will fit one on my Harrier 41, I tried using mine today, and it isn't reliable!
I sorted the part and placed an order. The old girl will live again soon!
Mate, do you still remember where you got the new plate from? Just picked up a harrier 41 and the plate is worn to sat the least.
