rise of iron was pretty good too, tho the story and the added eververse is what holds it back, the added difficulty to raids and new armor sets to every raid they have is what made it one of the best dlc's for destiny 1. i know the next big dlc after final shape is going to be shit. because thats the bungie cycle.

I feel like a lot of game video essays lack the personal bit, where the person reviewing is in life, how that affects how they see the world and even the personal element of the people making the games. Its such a big part of how we experience content its really cool to hear someone put it all into words

Dark side royalty and November hotel have both had fair criticisms is the past that I could agree with but they fail to see the positives in the game and they defiantly have an abusive relationship with the game as well. I also audibly and visibly cringe everytime he does the “but joker!” voice shit is so annoying

I'm a bit more curious as to what Bungie's future will be. The company has had just as many ups and downs and quite a journey in the same time as Destiny. Leaving Microsoft and going independent to being bought by Activision to leaving them and being independent again and now being semi-bought by Sony. Considering they made that, frankly, dumb agreement to always be making a certain amount of money each quarter or be absorbed into Sony, I'm curious what will happen to them in the probably near future. And if they get absorbed by Sony, will they still be able to do what they want or will they become Sony's go to studio to help other studios make their possible future shooters better? Will they be able to try and take yet another crack at being independent?
I don’t know how to properly articulate it, but it still feels like it’s missing something, like a lot of the grandiosity of the first game was lost in translation and instead of the post-apocalyptic reclamation of the solar system fighting against an oppressive horde of enemies, it’s a fun romp through a wacky universe while almost nobody takes it seriously. I know the final shape stepped up and gave us a great ending with phenomenal character writing moments and a satisfying final boss, but it feels like it’s too little too late. But that’s just me.
Count me out, great, multi layered choice of intro and outro song dude. Loved this. I really resonate with your journey both in destiny and gaming in general. I use to be so critical and negative, it would almost be a buzz to hate on a game if everybody else was too. Fuck that! I’m glad I grew out of it.

As someone who has been playing destiny forever this was a great video, EVERYTHING he said is completely true. I don't really understand you're problem either, I'm all for more people giving this expansion praise because it deserves it and I hope the higher ups can see that positive reception and understand that this is what not only the destiny players want, but the gaming community in general.
