  • Hello everyone,
this is Part 3/4 of my 1:48 scale Sikorsky UH-34G build from Italeri. This helicopter was part of MFG 5 (Marinefliegergeschwader 5) stationed in Kiel-Holtenau and took part in several SAR-Missions during the 1973 flood on the german coast.
The same helicopter with the S/N 80+73 is part of the exhibition of the Deutsche Museum in Schleißheim near Munich.

Thank you, Matilda Models. I really like it, too. But I just tried to replicate the awesome paint scheme of the German Navy of the 60s and early 70s.

Fantastic paint job, especially the faded orange effect turned out great! Can’t wait to see the finished UH-34! 👍 Weiter so, viel Erfolg und viele Grüße! 🙂

Thank you! Unfortunately I had to redo a part of the paint job, due to a mistake during weathering. In my opinion it made the model better in the end, but it cost a lot of my nerves. You'll see it in the final video.
And thank you for your ongoing support.
      Beste Grüße!

I‘m pretty sure most of us experience these „happy little accidents“ from time to time. 😄😉 But I know what you’re talking about, last week one of my current builds almost landed in the trash because I was so upset about my mistakes… will have to see how it’ll turn out in the end. 🤔🙂 Looking forward to your video! 👍

@@RWOModels Bob Ross is always right! 😂 But I know what you mean! In this cases I let the model sit for few days and in the end it's only half as bad as it was before. And the most important thing about it: you'll make it better next time!

Nice! Btw what airbrush do you use? Just curious

Hi Henrik. I actually have 3 airbrushes. For about 80% I use my Bartsharp 130. It's cheap, but compared to other cheap airbrushes from China you can find on Amazon, the Bartsharp is waaaaay better!!!
About two months ago I bought a Harder & Steenbeck Ultra. This airbrush is a game changer for me. You're able to do everything with it. Best airbrush I ever had.
And for Revell-Aqua Colors (which I only use, If I don't have a choice) I keep a cheap airbrush from China around.
      Cheers, mate!!!
