As far as the kit's wheels you have to remember this kit was first issued in 1955. Other than the Aurora example which was a 1952 Helicopters For Industry mold it's been the only 1/48 option.

Whoa, nice! Had a cup of coffee and enjoyed your build immensly.
I especially like the weathering and how the rotor head turned out! I have built a few of these Revell H-19's and it is an old, old kit. None of mine turned out as good as yours. I always kept the main rotor off while painting the fuselage: it sits in the way when handling the model and more than once I broke off a rotor blade while painting...
Too bad you used the kits wheels. I would have used wheels from the sparebox: the Revell wheels don't do the model justice imho and don't even get close to the real ones.
One final minor issue: the pointy thing above the right cockpit window afaik is the pitot tube and it should point forwards 😊. Nevertheless: impressive work!!!
I apologize for never responding but I truly appreciate the kind words and feedback. I totally agree with the wheels, I regretted it as soon as I put them on. I love this helicopter but Revell really dropped the ball on the kit. I’ll have more to come so stay tuned my friend.

@@MicksModels Any helicopter would be great, and a civil helo even better!! Although I know that civil helicopters are not particulary popular in the modelling world...

Yes, very straight forward build with a lot of potential in it!
