The combat helicopter Mil Mi-24P (P for cannon) was launched in April 1981 and remained in serial production until 1989. Different from the early versions with a machine gun, it has high firepower due to a dual-barreled 30mm cannon GS-2-30K mounted on the right side of the fuselage. Aiming is done by turning the whole helicopter, consequently the pilot (commander) is firing the cannon. In addition this helicopter can carry up to 2400 kg of arms load: bombs, unguided rockets and antitank missiles. The Mi-24P took actively part in the Afghan war, in combat operations in Chechnya, and during the Russian Air Force operation in Syria. It is still
in service in Russia and many other countries worldwide.

От ранних модификаций с пулемётной установкой он отличался мощным пушечным вооружением - двуствольная 30-мм пушка ГШ-2-30К была неподвижно установлена по правому борту вертолёта. Наводилось оружие на цель поворотом всей машины, потому стрелял из пушки пилот - командир вертолёта. Кроме пушки, вертолёт по-прежнему мог нести до 2400 кг боевой нагрузки: бомбы, блоки неуправляемых ракет, противотанковые ракеты. Ми-24П выпускался серийно до 1989 года. Эта модификация активно использовалась в Афганской войне, в период боевых действий в Чечне, а также во время проведения операции ВКС России в Сирии.

Excellent work, The Zvezda kits are always top quality, I just build the T-90 tank in 1/35 and the 1/35 scale GRAD rocket launcher truck, the kits have many detail parts and they fit perfectly and the molding of the parts is excellent. I am just building an SU-27 jet in 1/48 scale by Italeri, another great kit, I just finished the blue and grey camouflage paint scheme so it is close to finished.

Certainly the MiL24 series is a formidable aircraft..(the P variant with that 2 barrel 30mm cannon🤯..💥💥‼). I have always admired the differences in Russian and American engineering directives, the different "climates" of design strategy, production process, combat strategies, etc.. the MiL -24 is an amazing aircraft! A high speed, heavy assault+troop carrier ..
To model this aircraft so well as the pilots&crew would see it, is a tremendous honor..
I must have missed the little fan @ the top right of the armored glass window frame in the "armament-office"..🤔..there is so much to see!😁

@@TheBearScaleModels I ALWAYS have multiple projects going on @ the same time, both for an alibi, and to keep me out of trouble so I don't need an alibi!😄👍 I have a "quick" project concerning the building of a M-48 tank, my father was in the US 4th Armored Division, he drove those & M-4 High Speed Tractor..which had a top speed of 35mph/56kmh..I forgot what other mechanized artillery he operated, but I felt I needed these things in my collection to further remember him. I feel this is a good time to remember those who have gone before us, our friends & families now, & enjoy the peace of sharing our passion in ways that honor and acknowledge the people who operated the machines that we make models of.
Besides, in Northern New York, east of Lake Ontario, it is -4°F/-20°C, I have already visited my wild deer friends, and a good model will keep me warm.. I just haven't met her yet, so I will build more scale models!😉👍

it was first time using the Quinta 3d decals . they are excellent and very easy to use

thank you ! I honestly dont have any experience of the older monogram kit. But I can tell you this zvezda kit built out of the box is very straightforward and fit is excellent is for the most part.

I use Ultraglue for PE-parts... more time... exzess can easily be removed... one cup lasts forever...

the gearbox housing is visible through the opening to the rotor hub. But the engines are not really so detailed. thanks !

работа отличная, но на мой взгляд травло подкачало. Особенно 30.20 хорошо видно
Классно, только зря поставили 4 баллона противо пожарной системы (красные в отсеке главного редуктора) их только 2 1й очереди (автоматическая) и 2й (ручная) у звёзды ошибка. Но вы молодец!

@@TheBearScaleModels те ,что слева,это баллоны с нейтральным газом для заполнения баков от взрыва. Ошибки тут никакой нет,если вы собираете "В" раннего выпуска.

Микродизайну пора уже целиком делать травлёный вертолёт. Покупаешь набор Звёзды и набор травления. Пластик в помойку ,а модель клеим железную.
Это от армы все травло
Look like Zvesda's is better than Trumpeter's.
the trumpeter version has some simple rivet detail on the fuselage but its not accurate and still does not look like the riveting on these helicopters and the kit is 2.5 times more expensive than zvezda. so yes Zvezda the better kit !

Работа могла бы быть лучше но надо было углубить и дошить расшивку а её нет и к тому же портят вид непонятно наклееные полоски как бандажи которых нет на реальном вертолёте.
Ни один из косяков модели не исправлен...
