I love Daniel's attention to detail. I thought at first, oh, it's like that challenge where guys kept lightly squeezing the trigger on their handgun and aiming it at their privates, which...yes, people actually did that, and a few people "accidentally" pulled the trigger, even though they were trying to "not pull it" whilst tempting the fate of their nads.

The problem with them changing the platform is that the new platform is a paywall
And their usual free contents on RUclips is now stuck behind a paywall
Do you even know a single person behind the screen of your device? They might be kid who haven’t have income on their own, they might be a person who have way too many monthly subscription and it stressing out their wallet
Turn a free and perfectly monetized contents into something locked behind a monthly paywall is indeed a very bad move
@@elliswinchester5858 I think how they went about it was awful rather than the act itself, the biggest argument I've heard against was how they didn't even mention it to their patrons who already pay for their content which is indeed a mean thing to do, I'm not necessarily opposed to RUclipsrs moving platforms with pay walls, bo Burnham moving to netflix for example didn't annoy anyone because it felt like a inevitable step in his career, I assume when Mr beast does his Amazon thing that'll also be more accepted for similar reasons, i think at the very least it's sparked convocations on how RUclipsrs should transition between platforms, a thing I can only imagine will become more common place now that RUclipsrs are becoming more and more respected and famous

I don't know the situation in detail but it sounds like people were fans of their free content, it's up to them where they want to put their content (although it probably wasn't a good idea) and it's up to the fans if they want to pay for it or not, I just can't imagine getting upset at that.
I've noticed this a lot that fans act like they're entitled to good content and I don't know why they think that's some kind of basic human right. You're not going to like everything an artist or studio or whatever puts out, or agree with all the decisions they make. If you did it would be a cult.
